Question about upcoming IVF

So i got all my letters through for starting IVF in September. Got my presentation night and the clinic appointment a week after for a 90 minute app. Just a question as to when i actually start the treatment ..? Is it straight after that appointment or do i wait some more. Its nhs ive got my ivf through and been on the wait list now 6months. Thanks.

I think all clinics ate a little different. I had my initial appointment in woking in mid December. At that appointment they wanted to retest amh and hubbys swimmer tests. blood tests aswell. They also wanted a baseline scan of my ovary in day 5 or something to see the normal number of follicles. Because of timing tests weren't complete till Jan then we had to wait for my period to be in the right timing so we started the cycle in Feb.

I am in the same boat. Should be starting my first cycle very soon. I am starting on day 19 of my next cycle then all the drugs, injections etc go on from there so am guessing yours would be the same. I've got my presentation evening next week too. Be good to find out more my head is all befuddled ☺️

Hi Robyn, have you started ivf treatment? We're hoping to start tomorrow, got bloods and scan. Feeling very apprehensive! x

We've just started our first round of IVF we had our group/information session at the end of June then our consent appointment a couple of weeks later unfortunately my period arrived 2 days before this appointment so we had to wait another month before we could start - the hospital did advise if they were too busy we may have to wait another month luckily this wasn't case. You won't be able to start treatment until you've had the consent appointment and signed all the paperwork x
