Accepted for ivf

So finally we have the best news that we have been accepted for ivf. Im so happy. I just wanted to know how long everyone waited till you got your first appointment? Im just focusing on shifting a little bit of wait so i feel totally ready for ivf 😊 husbands gone back abroad for some work so im hoping to suprise him with the weightloss. Staying positive has really helped.

I rang the actual ivf clinic and asked them and they were fine with that. It was a lot shorter than the specialist told us x

Im also in Bedfordshire. I had all my tests done in the September, was sent consent forms in December to fill in for my appointments this month and now I’m ready to start in February! Hope this helps x

Fantastic to hear your treatment will be able to get under way now. I’m from N.Ireland and started IVF journey just over 4 years ago now. At that time we waited about 6months to see the consultant for initial consultation and then the wait for actual treatment was 12months. We went ahead and paid for a privately funded cycle while we were waiting for our NHS go.

Wait times for wherever you live may be slightly better than that. Wishing you lots of luck as you prepare your body and mind for treatment xxx

Thanks Dunla. It was hard to get to the point we are at as my husband was a smoker and finally saw the light that he needs to stop to pass the tests to be accepted for ivf. I have alot going on to keep me busy whilst i wait. Keeping a positive this year 😊
