I had an email today with the results from my first biopsy to test for NK Cell levels.... results are within a normal range for the number of days past ovulation I was when the biopsy was done. I've included a copy of the email so that anyone thinking of having this done can see how the results are fed back to you.
When I got home from work I also had a letter from the miscarriage clinic at Liverpool to let us know that our blood chromosome tests were both normal, which is good news.
I'll hopefully be having the second NK Cell biopsy in August, so they can compare the two and discuss next steps... if that comes back normal as well then I really am stumped.... why do I keep miscarrying?? 1 frostie left and I hope this is the one for us xxxx

That's interesting, thanks for posting. I am thinking of having this done as well as I've had two failed IVFs, and I suspect a third when I go for my blood test tomorrow. I also fell pregnant naturally last year but miscarried at 12 weeks so I wonder if I have high NK cells as there are no other reasons why.
Although it's good news your results are normal it must be frustrating not knowing a reason for your problems holding a pregnancy. I feel your pain. I just feel like my body is failing me. I do everything right and can't understand why my body keeps rejecting. It's really heartbreaking.
Big hugs and I hope you get to the bottom of it and have success at some point xx
It's difficult isn't it... on the one hand you're glad things are normal... but on the other hand you're waiting for a reason why it keeps failing... I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, that must have been awful for you. The furthest I've ever got is 7-8 weeks. It costs £540 for the two biopsies which is a lot but a drop in the ocean when it comes to ivf. I hope you get a nice surprise tomorrow, stay strong xxxxx
Thank you. I think I'm about 99% sure it'll be negative but I suppose you never really know with IVF! I did a home test (just a supermarket one) on Monday evening in a moment of madness and it was negative but I suppose there could be hope it was too early (11dp2dfet) but I don't have any inkling that it could be a BFP. When I fell pregnant naturally my boobs were really sore and much bigger and I have nothing like that, just no feelings at all.
Where did you have your NK testing done? I did some research previously but could only find somewhere in London or the Midlands I think? The cost is nothing really in the grand scheme of things. I'd rather pay £500 for some answers than dive straight back into another pointless round at £5k+ What adds insult to injury is that we did have three funded rounds agreed. Had two fresh and would still have been eligible for a FET and another fresh cycle but because I fell pregnant naturally (even though I miscarried) we lost all our funding 😪 Life seems very unfair sometimes!
The other thing that was really unfair was I had a scan at 7 weeks and everything was fine then. Saw the baby's heartbeat and the we dared to get our hopes up 😒 xx
I know the feeling of not knowing what happens to your body. It's very frustrating. It breaks your heart in pieces. I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope your biopsy results are just as good as these.
