First NK cells test results are back....

Hi all! Just a quick update, the results from my first nk cell tests are back and they have come back high!! I have attached a picture. I am due to have my second test today. Does anyone have any successful stories with high NK cells? Or even failure stories xx

Hi NDE1987. Good luck with the next result. However, I do hear of success following blood thinning treatments and sometimes adding low dose steroids. I'm sure some of the ladies here will tell you their stories. Thinking of you. Diane

Thank you for your reply diane, I always appreciate your words of wisdom!! Just hope that these next medication helps and I get a successful pregnancy!! Just have felt it's been a long journey to get to this point x

After my first round of ivf fresh last year resulted in chemical pregnancy I had the NK cell which showed a raised number I went ahead for another fresh ivf round which I was put on steroids because of the high numbers but unfortunately again resulted in a chemical pregnancy. This July I had a lap which is when I was dignosed which endometriosis which could of been why my cells were at a raise level, I which do think that is the reason for mine being high. I had FET in September and I'm now 7 weeks pregnant so far so good 😊

Hi Dream, I have just had my 2nd Lap. Endo treated, I've had 2 ivf attempts both ended in mc. I am now considering this test. I've read a lot of research linking Endo to raised nk cells. Congrats x

Hey hun I am sorry that it didn't work out for you first time but so happy that it worked out for you. I have been trying for 3 years now and just feel like it's one thing after another! I have endromesosis and was diagnosed in 2013. Since then I have had two operations to help control it and two failed ivfs. But I hope that this diagnosis helps to get a successful pregnancy. We can only hope. Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

Was this with Dr Quenby in Coventry? I am in Scotland but now considering this too after being diagnosed with Endo and suffering 2 ivf mc's x

Hey hun yes this was in coventry, I have endromesosis aswell and two failed ivfs. I just hope after this the steroids help I travelled from London to Coventry to have this test done. The staff are fabulous. Please private message me if you want any other help xx

I had a miscarriage and one failed fresh and frozen transfer. Had the nk cell test and was treated for high NK cells through my second FET. I took clexane (blood thinning) and prednisolone (steroid), Lubion and cyclogest through my cycle. I also had an intralipid every 4 weeks up until 12 weeks. Whether it contributed (I know some people don't believe in it all) il never know but my little girl is now 7 months old x

My friend had this and had 6 miscarriages as a result. They used specialist clinic in Epsom (think the doc there has a practice in Harley at too) as she had to take steroids and some immune suppressants so her body didn’t reject the baby. It worked first Time and she now has a beautiful baby boy!! 💙

It was a few years ago now, but I had the same NK cells test at Coventry, before we did our final frozen embryo cycle. Mine came back as 55.05%. Ridiculously high.... Infact they tested it twice as thought it was an incorrect result. I was highest ever seen at the clinic at that point.

For us that next cycle ended in yet another chemical pregnancy (4th one....3rd one from frozen embryo transfer), even with the treatment of steroids.

We are no longer trying, I have severe endometriosis, and had 4 laps to try to deal with this, and now suspected adenomyosis. Our last IVF attempt was abandoned due to my ovary pain during stimms. So, as we don't seem to fall pregnant naturally, we have just tried to accept its the end of the line for us.

Hi flowerpots thank you so much for taking time out and replying. From what I have been reading it can be high due to endometriosis. I myself suffer from endromesosis and I just can't believe how it's stopping me from becoming pregnant. Im sorry it hasn't worked out for you so far x
