Hi Sophiasafa. Well done with your egg collection. Yes, in the UK we usually prescribe progesterone in pessary or gel form. Occasionally some doctors prefer injections, but this is not often done. I do hope all goes well with the fertilisation and transfer, and of course for success. Diane
Hi Just down to patient preference really. probably after having so many injections, they need a break! Obviously consultants have their own ideas too. Diane
Hi. I'm at home now, but they give low dose soluble aspirin to hopefully prevent any clotting in the womb lining. I don't know predonal, but prednol is a steroid given to boost the immune system and hopefully prevent rejection. Diane
Hi, I had the injections on both cycles in my UK ivf, second time they were gonna give me pessaries then changed their mind and back to injections not sure why but Im currently 17 weeks pregnant 😊 xx
Hi Laura3101. Well, that's fantastic news, and your cocktail of drugs seems to have done the trick. So pleased to hear about your pregnancy. Your little one will have eyebrows, eyelashes, finger nails and toe nails now. Make sure you talk to him/her, and play some music as the hearing is kicking in very soon. Hope all goes well with the rest of your pregnancy, and of course with the birth. Diane
