So they managed to get 10eggs I suppose that's ok right?

So here in turkey they give the progesterone injection apparently in U.K. They don't give the injection is this correct???

So instead they will give the the gel version to take back with me but for now will be the injectionS

Hi Sophiasafa. Well done with your egg collection. Yes, in the UK we usually prescribe progesterone in pessary or gel form. Occasionally some doctors prefer injections, but this is not often done. I do hope all goes well with the fertilisation and transfer, and of course for success. Diane

Hi Diane, I just wondered why do more Doctors than not opt not to use progesterone injections in the UK? Is it due to cost? Thank you Stassi

Hi Just down to patient preference really. probably after having so many injections, they need a break! Obviously consultants have their own ideas too. Diane

Hi thanks Diane for the reply

I've been given aspirin to take for 5 days

Predonal for 5 days

A antibiotic for 3 days

And progesterone injection to have done at the clinic.

Why do they give aspirin?

And what is predonal exactly for?

Hi. I'm at home now, but they give low dose soluble aspirin to hopefully prevent any clotting in the womb lining. I don't know predonal, but prednol is a steroid given to boost the immune system and hopefully prevent rejection. Diane

Hi Laura3101. Well, that's fantastic news, and your cocktail of drugs seems to have done the trick. So pleased to hear about your pregnancy. Your little one will have eyebrows, eyelashes, finger nails and toe nails now. Make sure you talk to him/her, and play some music as the hearing is kicking in very soon. Hope all goes well with the rest of your pregnancy, and of course with the birth. Diane
