Putting on weight
I can totally sympathise. I lost weight through slimming world to start ivf and now I'm putting it back on. I'm so sorry for your loss. My miscarriage was also 4 weeks ago. I've just started back on the slimming world plan. Not going to the classes, just looking at online recipes and plan on returning to the gym. Hopefully exercise will make me feel better about things instead of moping and feeling depressed. Hope you start to feel better soon. It's not easy that's for sure. Hugs xx
I'd did the same . Slimming world 🌎 lost all my weight now I weigh heavier than ever . Maybe try classes again but I just feel ugly 😱
don't think that! Our bodies have been through a lot not to mention the drugs and then the comfort eating. Remember you are strong and you've done it before and will do it again 😊
It happened to me during both cycles and is still clinging. I'm trying to eat more protein and drink water. I'm going to do loads of exercise this summer holiday to try to shift it and at least try to feel better about myself. Just wanted you to know you're not on your own. xxx
Think water is the way forward 👍
I've gained lots of weight since my first cycle in September. I can't shift it. I'm not eating any differently from my pre ivf days 😕 xx
This is the part about ivf the hospital don't tell you about . I'm really struggling . Might try "skinny pigs " lot of friends have lost weight with that kind of exercise x
I feel exactly the same as you all, I probably eat healthier than I did before starting IVF yet the weight seems harder to shift. I've started back at the gym and although I feel better in myself for going I wish I could see the benefits xx
Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I had one last January at 12 weeks and also put on weight. I couldn't believe how long it took me to shift it, it was so frustrating. Especially as I'm a personal trainer/fitness instructor so am constantly having to talk to people about nutrition and weight loss so I know exactly how to do it but seemed incapable of managing it myself!
I'm pretty sure it's just your hormones being all over the place and the weight did come off eventually once my body had settled down. All you can do is eat a healthy balanced diet and take gentle exercise (nothing too strenuous if you mc was only four weeks ago) Eating good food and exercising will make you feel much better mentally and physically.
Good luck with everything x
Thank you so much for your advice . Hopefully this weight will fall off soon .
