Devastated first ivf failed and negative

I'm not sure how I feel but everything was great for us through the ivf journey but today it was a bfn and I feel devastated. Life's so cruel it's been 5 long years and still with a negative outcome. Hope all you ladies get a better result x

Well it might not feel like it right now but having two frosties is awesome!! I'm a similar age to you (36) and have also been ttc 5yrs...my 1st icsi failed in March but I went straight into an fet...now 6wks pregnant! Feel free to wallow if you need to for a few days...cry, shout, drink that wine and eat all the bad foods. You'll soon be feeling right as rain again and ready to get back to it. FYI fet's are soooo much easier on the body and mind. Don't lose hope...this journeys certainly a marathon rather than a sprint isn't it? xxx

i am so very sorry for your loss.

this journey is incredibly difficult to go through - emotionally, physically, it affects everything.

our first round was unsuccessful & nothing prepares you for the shock of a negative result.

take good care of each other & make a plan when you're feeling a bit stronger.

It's so hard when you get that first negative cus you convince yourself this is what your body has been waiting for. I remember mine I I was so convinced it was wrong cus it wasn't fair!!!! You need to stay strong and try again when u can. Xx😘😘 take care the next few days will be hard .

I'm so sorry. I understand what you are going through. I got my bfn last night.

It's hard, you think everything is going to work out fine but at the last hurdle you fall.

Last night's result is not going to stop me, I am going to be a mummy how ever long it takes.

Have a glass of wine, eat junk and have lots of me time.

I'm really sorry to hear this. It's incredibly hard the first time round. Well it's hard every time but especially the first. Try to look after yourself and be hopeful with your two Frosties. That's something I never had in either of my cycles so perhaps that may give you a little reassurance that your embies are good quality. xxx

So very sorry this first round hasn't worked for you It is an emotionally draining time TTC and especially going through IVF. I know it doesn't feel like it but have two embryos frozen is really amazing! You have 2 more attempts from this round. Try and stay positive. Even coming this far is a major achievement. Does this not mean it will be a new cycle though? I have two attempts so this will be my second won't it or is this still part of the first ivf cycle? Thank you for your kind words. My husband is really upset at the moment xxx

First time I've posted on here....

I had a failed ivf with icsi after first attempt. 5dpt with 2. Neither stuck and I was gutted because I had none to freeze.

I'm waiting to try again but I'm 43 in September I've been told the chances are 15 per cent. This is private too.

I would say to you don't give up 2 left to try again keep positive and I know how you must be feeling but it will happen for you next time I'm sure good luck xx

So sorry to hear this. It has been quite a long time for you. You could look at changing your clinic, there are quite a few out there. I hope you find happiness again!

Mines with the Manchester specialists and they've been amazing but it's through the NHS and cannot fault them. My journey has been long and hard but I know we will pull through. Thank you
