Dilemma...

so about a year ago we had a FET... now our gorgeous 3 month old. We had 5 blastocyts (1 failed fresh cycle, 3 thawed to get 1 to transfer) so 1 frostie left in the freezer - also our lowest grade. We have unexplained infertility and would like more children but don't yet know if we'd be able to get pregnant naturally following a successful IVF pregnancy. If not, IVF would be the way again - self funded this time. So the big Q, do I keep the 1 frostie in storage with the view of a FET, or would it be better to have a full cycle again given it took 3 to transfer 1? worth bearing in mind my frostie was when i saw 34, and I'll probably be 36 or older when we have more. The other thing to bear in mind is obviously a FET opposed to a full cycle is a lot cheaper!

But you got only 1 frostie with worst quality.

In sum there are great chances that you`ll pay for both (FET and new full cycle).

If you thinking about cheaper choice - try to search for clinics abroad as I`m.

Congratulations on your baby, I would go for a fet first xx

Hiya, congrats on the bubba!

I've been asking myself exactly the same question. I got my bfp this weekend but before then I was wondering if I should leave what I have in the freezer and go straight for a fresh round. I'm 36 so my eggs must be starting that slippery slope to poorer quality now....and I wanted as many back ups as possible.

I think only you can make that choice. What can you comfortably afford both in cost and in time? How will you handle a fresh cycle with a baby or toddler in tow? What's the chance of your frosty working? When you have considered these kinda things you'll be able to make a decision that feels right for you xxx

Congrats on your positive hon!! That's amazing news to hear. After all you've been through, that's really wonderful. Try to forget all your worries and keep thinking positively. forget about sharing signs and symptom with google. I know for sure that waiting for the first scan is a nightmare, but hold on and take care. Thinking of you with fingers crossed xxx

Congrats on your wonderful boy! You are great, can only imagine how it was - emergency c section is the thing I'm extremely afraid of at the moment. Re FET, don't know what to say. I thought about the option, as some say that those embies are better after thawing...the others say it's not true. I decided to have a fresh cycle anyway and with donor eggs, as it's too late for my own poor eggies. I had 2 embies and both of them decided to stay, it's my happiness now. Whatever you choose, it would be right. lots of love xx

My friend has just got pregnant naturally at 38 - her first child is 16 months, conceived by IVF. I'm not saying this would happen for you but she certainly didn't expect it as had just booked in for another round of ivf in August! Good luck with your decision xx

I would go with your frostie first and then if it doesn't work do a full cycle. x
