Any Gaia reviews?

We only have one frostie left so im starting to plan next steps.

we’ve had a provisional quote through from Gaia. I’m intrigued because it says all embryo transfers and medication are included as part of the cycle charge - this seems good value as each FET works out around 2750 at my clinic. It also covers the 2 year storage fee which itself is around £1500.

I know that if we were successful with our first transfer then it would work out more expensive but we’ve not been successful so far so maybe it’s worth the risk!

Has anyone got any Gaia reviews - good or bad? Thanks.

I thought Gaia just arranged the finances? I’m on a package directly with my clinic and all my donors meds plus my transfers are included x

They do! Sorry I’ve changed my post from provisional plan to provisional quote.

Access fertility do something similar but there isn’t a clinic local to me! The quote sent by Gaia seems really reasonable considering it includes everything including FETS if the fresh embryo is unsuccessful and you’re lucky enough to have any on ice! X

So is it 1 cycle all embryos transferred? X

1 cycle with embryos transferred until you’re successful and then you pay once the baby is born. And if you’re not successful you pay a reduced fee.

The amount they charge is in line with what my clinic would charge for one cycle but they would only cover the fresh transfer with the frozen ones being charged separately.

It seems to be good value but I feel like I might be missing something?!

Which clinic is it with? Are we allowed to say on here or maybe on if you want? X

You can choose from a huge list of clinics! So the one I’m at currently is on there! X

So I guess the clinic would offer this package direct too? I paid up front for mine direct with clinic but get a full refund if unsuccessful.

I think the gamble you take is usually the paying out for several transfers you may not need. For me it’s definitely worked out…..

I can’t see anywhere that they do! I’ve had a cycle with my clinic already - one fresh transfer was included and because I had two frozen these were paid for separately! Whilst also paying separately for medication and storage fees.

Hopefully someone will have used them and can shed some light on their experience x

I’m still trying to stay positive. Really crampy this afternoon after reflexology x

Cramping can be a wonderful sign of implantation, so difficult not to drive yourself crazy symptom spotting! X

I’m day 6 though and I read it should be implanted by day 5. They are frosties though and I’ve read they can be slower? I’m ignoring everything so far but I can feel it this afternoon. Reflexologist said she would treat me as pregnant and do bits that encourage blood flow in that area x

We had a quote and decided not to use them. I remember them telling me you were only allowed a gap of three months between cycles unless you obtain a medical certificate to say otherwise so it all has to be completed within there time frame. I didn’t want the pressure of that as sometimes we take longer gaps.

Also if you’re not successful until say the third round you then pay back all the treatment you’ve had in full which for us meant we could owe them around £30,000. You pay it in monthly instalments but still it’s a large amount to finance.

As a positive I found them really quick to respond and they answered lots of questions I had. The customer service seemed very good.

thank you that’s really helpful. The time limit if off putting so that’s definitely something to consider x

hi RedFox23 -did you decide to go with them? I’m about to, and finding them so helpful

Hi Darcy, we have a frozen embryo to transfer first but our new round, if that one is unsuccessful, will most likely be Gaia. We like that unlimited transfers are covered in the payment as these are almost £3k a time including meds at our clinic! I’m so glad you’re finding them helpful x

thank you for coming back to me and I agree - I like that the meds and the FET's are all included - knowing my luck I will need ALL the drugs! Best of luck with your FET tho and hopefully you won't need Gaia at all!
