Hi clinic rang and confirmed BFP and stated they are treating it as positive pregnancy but hcg levels are borderline. They don't want to see me again until 17th July for an early scan but am panicking big time already. I know I should be pleased but just feel so anxious as I had a miscarriage in January and had far more pregnancy symptoms. I'm 10days post transfer (two 5 days old embryos) and did a pregnancy test yesterday and there was a faint line. I'd be grateful for any advice??

BFP today but HCG levels borderline 🙄Any advice please??
Hi Emsy I am surprised your clinic is not texting you again in a wee or so to make sure your levels are rising. Seems a bit off to just send you off and leave you waiting another 2-3 weeks wondering what is happening.
You could do another test over the next few days to see if line is darker but I think the tests can also drive you nuts xx
Thanks I know really thought they would bring me back for a further test. They charge for each blood test but they didn't even offer me the option.
Hi Emsy79, seems a bit unfair of your clinic to not test you again, I'd pay for another hcg test in a couple of days to see if your levels have doubled. Keeping my fingers crossed xx
I'd go to your GP and tell them what's happening and your history and say that you are getting very stressed about having to what that long and ask them if they could do some monitoring blood tests?...
My clinic always do 2 bloods tests a few days apart to check the HCG is rising. I would definitely ask for another blood test. x
That seems awful of them to leave you in limbo like that - even if it is nothing at all to worry about of course you are going to worry now. I agree with OPs - complain and push them to do another test or, if they won't agree, see your GP or if you can afford to try to get it done privately elsewhere just to put your mind at ease. X
Hey Emsy,
When I had a borderline hcg my clinic repeated the test 1 week later. Apparently the reason some clinics don't repeat a couple of days later is because if it's a chemical pregnancy the hcg level can rise a few days later and then drop again (this happened to me).
I'd see if you can get another hcg test in around a week.
What were your levels if you don't mind me asking? Xxx
hey thanks for reply they didn't tell me the levels. Was thinking of ringing the early pregnancy clinic in my local hospital who were really good and lovely when I had miscarriage and speaking to them. My clinic is so busy and yesterday when I got off the phone took me a while to process it. I know we all look for reassurance but just feel I can't wait until the 17th July. So sorry yours ended in chemical xxx
