Can anyone tell me what the group session involves following ivf referral after initial tests x
Group session: Can anyone tell me what... - Fertility Network UK
Group session
It's literally just giving you a load of info-success rates, how the blastocyst forms etc. To be honest it passed me in a blur because it's a bit info overload but I know others have found it helpful. Either way I believe it's another thing that has to be crossed off before you can go forward with IVF x
It is a session to tell you every step of what your journey will entail. It's a great way to see how many other couples are going through the exact same. I enjoyed it especially as my husband learnt so much from it. He had no idea what I would go through. You'll feel tired afterwards so much to take in but once you do this they give you all the paperwork you need to legally commit to it. Another step closer good luck 🍀
No you then go and see a consultant who will tell you what treatment is best for you. You should at that point sign your documents and then you'll have an appointment with the nurse. I will add this isn't so quick as there is a waiting list but once you've been shown how to do the treatment which is another appointment you can then call to start treatment on your next period once medication has been delivered to you. I'm currently doing treatment now and I wish I understood the whole process before hand. Good luck x
I had my group session in Feb. Got my nurse and consent signing on 20th July. Been a long 4 year process. Everything is going through my mind right now. Don't know how to feel. I'm having nhs find ivf. Have mild endometriosis and pcos. Don't have periods n dont ovulate. Good luck. We r in this together. X
Just a talk about the process and what to expect. A lot to take in and very tiring. What hospital are you at? Are u nhs?
hi shannon yes NHS. Manchester you? x
I'm at Birmingham women's hospital. How long have you been trying for and what have you tried already?
6 years so a long time. We are very much at the start of the process after having all the tests done at our local hopsital and then being transfered to manchester. xx
