Hi everyone, just came across this group and thought Id give it ago.
Have been ttc since November 2015, husbands semen analysis so far has shown azoospermia (no sperm)
My blood hormone level tests have also been off. Waiting for a referral to the RVH. Everything seems to take so long and it gets me down everything single day.
Would love to hear some of your experiences especially anyone else faced with azoospermia x

Hi my friends husband has this condition and they’re struggling because she wants to do ivf with a sperm donor but he doesn’t. I think it takes time to accept a condition and then figure out what’s best as a couple xxx
Hi.. yeah weve discussed this option and we are going to use a sperm donor if need be. But he has to have further analysis and a biopsy before we get to that stage.. just a constant waiting game x
That’s great! I wish you lots of luck. I’m pregnant now with an egg donor which initially I found v hard but as the journey rolled on I couldn’t be happier x

Hi Natalia44. Pleased to read that he is to have a biopsy first, just in case they can retrieve some sperm to use in ICSI. Always worth a try first. Good luck! Diane
Hi, my husband and I were in the same boat. Everyone’s experience is different and some longer than others but I found the treatment in the RVH excellent. The staff were so kind and helpful. The process is never going to feel quick enough but hopefully will be worth it in the end. If you don’t mind me asking are you having a free cycle on the NHS?
It is great to have the support of others who understand. I wish I’d discovered it earlier but there are really good workshops organised by Fetility NI which I would highly reccomend you join or at least get info from. Best of luck to both of you.
Hi Lucy.. great to hear from someone else who has went through the same thing...can I ask where you are now on your journey?
We are going to see a private consultant in a few weeks time to discuss options but yeah hoping to have a free cycle if things work out as im not sure we would be able to finance it all ourselves but ill know more once we speak to this consultant. Hoping he can give us more information as to what might happen next as so far everyone havent been able to tell us much
We discovered in 2014 that my OH had poor sperm motility. We had three ISCI cycles (two free and one private) I was pregnant on the second but sadly miscarried at 10 weeks. We had a cycle abroad - in Prague in March and I am currently 7 weeks pregnant. We decided to go abroad as the success rate is higher and costs a lot less. I would reccomend it.
If you have any questions at all along the way please let me know.
aw massive congratulations! how exciting! sorry to hear about your previous misscarriage. Oh i must look into the abroad clinics then once we have his final sperm results.. thank you appreciate it x
