So we have our transfer on Monday guys and all our embies are doing great but we are aloud a choice of 1 or 2 why is this? xxx
5 day transfer our 8 are doing great ... - Fertility Network UK
5 day transfer our 8 are doing great still ππ»ππ»ππ» ok so we have a choice of 1 or 2?
If something for freeze, you can choose 1. Other wise 2 to increase your chance but entirely your choice hun
Aw gosh everyone saying 2? π xx
Ya because 2 increase ur chance of getting pregnant . Me and hubby wanted to do 2 but nurse said, she will do 1. We said ok then everything changed for this morning. Dr said nothing to freeze and c prefer 2 at this stage. We said ok.may be check with the embryologist about grade on 5th day ( because things keep change until final day) good luck hun
That's great news hun, glad they are doing well. Not sure on the choice side of things I'm afraid. We are opting for one unless they advise us to have two....xx
for us it was our choice of 1 or 2 and a difficult one! I thought we'd get more guidance but we didn't. In end we opted for 2 which was the right choice for us. One was top grade and the other slightly behind. I'm 13 wks pregnant with a single π We will never know which embie made it so it was the correct thing for us but everyone's different. Good luck with whatever you decide
On our DE cycles we had one blast put back and got a bfn, this time we had 2 blasts but back and got our bfp ( not had scan yet so don't fully know the results yet) x
Oh my gosh tense lol I think we will go for two my husband keeps saying c min 2 is best lol xx
Thats really great news!! Our clinic is pretty strict about only allowing one at transfer especially when younger for the risks of multiple pregnancies which carried it's own risk of miscarriage etc. We got to transfer two last time but only because I'm almost 40! I'm not sure why your clinic offers 1 or 2 but I guess you just need to consider whether twins (or more) would be ok for you both. One of the girls on here had a double transfer a while back and had quads although this is pretty slim!!xx
Yea ours are strict too. Unless you're above a certain age or your embryos are not absolutely top grade they won't do a double transfer. OH and I spent ages debating over one or two embryos for our fet only to be told we could only have one due to the multiple pregnancy risk. We were glad to have the decision taken out of our hands! Our clinic says they also have to ensure that they follow guidelines re; multiple births, that they are told (I think by the hfea) that they need to do their bit in keeping the numbers down xx
That's what I'm worried about to be honest but if it works for us and both stick we are fine with twins but I'm worried they may both split xx
Wow that's great I think it's reassuring to see that this part is working very well too. Write a list of the pros and cons and I think factor in that you're doing this once too!
You could go for two and end up in theory with 3 or 4 - however weigh that up against is this time just your one shot?!
Great news hun. I had 2 embryos put back even though the clinic advised the 1 as im only 32 but as it was our last go we said we wanted them both put back so they were happy to do so im now 5 weeks 5 days pregnant and will find out next week if 1 or 2 xx
Forgot to mention we didnt have any to freeze i had 2 5 day blasts 1 hatching and the other not far behind xx
I'm glad our clinic only let us transfer one. I have identical twins running down my maternal side but even with that only wanted one as I'd seen some bad stories of double transfers where one implants ok and the other one badly which resulted in both embies miscarrying.
I guess speak to the clinic and see what they say on ET day in regard to quality and whether all are suitable for freezing.
Good luck with your decision x
I had 2 put in and currently 17 weeks pregnant with one.. Good luck in choosing xxx
