Update* My secret habit... now I feel guilty!

Update... so lines got darker and darker and I had my HCG done yesterday at 6 days past. The result is 65. I think because not many people having a hcg done so early there is not a great deal of information out there but I think it's quite decent. I did have 2 put back in so who knows!

So I am ready for those reading to be a little surprised with my obsession... but I started testing today.

I bought a load of cheap ones to allow my habit to continue with a bit of harmless whimsical belief that I keeping myself informed. Also cheapies are not like those FRER tests which are so expensive.

So I knew that my cheapies are a hcg... 25 I think. Anyway I am 4 dp having 2 6 day hatching embryos implanted... ahem..here we go I got quite a strong bfp. I did 4 in the end at different times this afternoon... then tonight I drove to the supermarket to get a clear blue easy to read... yep still strong and there.

I am obviously cautious that it could chemical but it's NOT trigger as it was a fet.

So hubby asked me 2 wait 2 weeks.... now I feel so guilty! I haven't told him as he has been golfing and then to the pub.

I wanted to tell my lovely little secret world my potentially good news.

Oh I soooo happy but so cautious.

Your Definately not alone, I'm a serial tester lol. I always try to wait but always cave. My hubby has grown to accept my obsession haha, Egg collection isn't until next week let alone transfer yet but already I have 4 cheapies sat in the cupboard on hand that he bought lol 😂. I feel like I have discovered a new club! I think I actually feel weird if there isn't a test in the house. So much luck for next week, everything is so exciting but daunting.

Hubby has had 4 pints and he is a light weight so is fast asleep now. Little does he know I may be about to rock his world tomorrow ...

I never waited either, although I had to hide the tests and never told oh what I was doing as he wanted to wait so we could test together. We do whatever we can to get through those long 2w. Defo sounds pos. Wishing you all the best xx

I hide them under the washing.... he never gets involved in the washing so it's a great hiding place. Today's test was darker still. Everything crossed. Xxx

Haha that's brilliant. I used to go for a short daily walk to the middle of our estate and put them in a litter bin outside the local shop. My oh tends to find everything I find, so I figured this way was safer. Everything crossed for you xx

It's so nice to see good news after all the sad recently

To be honest I'm not sure I will make it to otd this time, hubby wants me to wait but I might do a secret test early just to prepare myself, if it's good news then I might get back some of the excitement and joy that ivf robs us of with all it's planning and control! Xx

You know you are so right! My friend who finally got pregnant after such horrendous miscarriages said that as there has been no allowable excitement she is going to find out the sex because it will be their moment of joy. I also knew that if I was negative at the otd my husband would find it so hard and I wanted to mentally prepare myself to support him.

Congratulations!! Fingers x'd it's a sticky one! Don't feel naughty! It's such an exciting time it's hard not to test early. A full 2ww after a 6 day transfer is nonsense anyway (IMO) as it's the equivalent of testing 3 weeks late on a natural cycle, which you'd never do!

I tested 5 days after my 5 day transfer, so equivalent of 10 days post ovulation, which is when I'd normally test in a natural cycle as I have a short luteal phase. They told me the embryo would implant within 24-48 hours at that stage (if it was going to) as it was 5 days old so ready to hatch, no travelling up Fallopian tubes to do etc. Got my bfp and thankfully I'm now 33 weeks.

Ps I told my oh I'd wait longer but he knows I'd have no willpower so expected me to cave early. We knew it could be a chemical pregnancy but got quietly and cautiously excited together!

Well I did think that by being a 6 day embryo it would be on a much faster timeframe, but you have just given me the perfect argument if hubby makes any noises and also my friend who berated me for testing early last time. You are a star.
