Any success stories with 4bc FETs?? Xx
Hi, I had fet last year with two embryos. I can't remember the exact grades but one was a 3 and the other a 4. I'm now sitting giving my 10 week old boy his morning feed! I obviously don't know which embryo it was that stuck but I had a really good pregnancy and my wee one was born at 8lb4oz and is thriving. Keep the faith and go for it! x
Thank you for this and congratulations!! What a lovely outcome xxx
I need to hear things like this because there is so much negative stuff about low graded embryos and now I for some reason have in my mind it's not going to work because I remember the embryologist saying it's poor but I can still freeze it if I want to and that stuck with me because it felt like she was suggesting it wasn't worth the hassle. I'm only having one transfered so I guess that doesn't help my thinking as well as less chance xxx
Hi Tara, today I m exactly 24 weeks pregnant with fet...they had transferred two embryos; one was 2 cells and another was 4 cells. I don't know much but it was 4 cells embryo that turned to be my little prince...so try to b positive and wish u al d best.
Wow congratulations! Again it is soo helpful to hear these success stories to try and balance out the negative things I have been reading about low graded embryos xxx
Hey Tara, we had two embies of AA
& AB quality out back. Sadly, one dude not attach ( I guess we'll never know which one out if the two) but the wife is 12 week pregnant tomorrow. We count our blessings everyday, so don't lose hope and wish you all the very very best and rightly so as, DC5867 said, they would not have suggested to still Persue things with the ivf if they felt it simply would work.
Keep in touch
I had one grade 4 embryo transferred and am now 6 weeks pregnant. They didn't give me a grading with letters, just said it was reasonable quality and was 5 cells. I Googled and was slightly worried it wasn't as high quality as other people's but it must've been good enough! Have my first scan tomorrow too and can't wait to see baby on the screen. Just wanted to give you hope that it can happen with a lower grade embryo. Best of luck with your cycle xx
Grade 4ab fet transferred. Am now 7 + 5 x
Hi Tara,
I had a FET with two poor quality embryos in November. The clinic repeatedly told me they weren't great (but I don't know the grades). One of them became a better quality after thaw though! Also, it's worth remembering that if they make the freezer and come through thawing (and the vast majority do these says) then they are already fighters. I'm now 22 weeks pregnant
Xx
Wow that's so encouraging!! Congratulations to you xxx It's so awful that they make us worry like this. I could of discarded my embie because of how they regarded it. I'm praying it does work for us. I'm struggling so much now with all my friends and family having children and some having IVF successes as well. It's heartbreaking when u want it so much!! Xxx
It's so difficult isn't it. From the outside it seems everyone and their dog is having babies and most of them without even trying! But after wanting it for so long, I still can't believe this has actually happened for me (I'm nearly 39 now).
I wish you all the luck in the world. All you can do is keep trying and keep sharing how you're feeling with groups like this one. Knowing you're not alone is really important - there are loads of us out there feeling the same way xxx
Hi Tara, I've just read your post and wondered how things went with your FET as was a few months ago now?!...
I had a 5 day blastocyst transferred yesterday which was also graded 4BC (out of 6 eggs only 2 fertilised and the other one didn't make it to blastocyst)
I'm feeling very anxious about the next 2 weeks and just hoping to get a positive result as this was our first attempt at IVF but probably our only chance!...x
Hi there!
Try not to be anxious hun, stay positive! Unfortunately mine did not work out. My fresh cycle and frozen were about the same grade. But we have male factor issue which we feel is a contributing factor to our overall embryo quality. I've known other 4bc grades to work but everyones circumstances are different. We going to go down the overseas sperm donor route next and see where that takes us. Wishing you all the best hun keep your fingers and toes crossed!! Xx
