I'm 39 just had a successful frozen embryo transfer and wondering if iui is worth a try or ivf maybe the better option? Xx

Anyone had a successful iui first time round
Im also thinking about the same question. Iwas origonally thinking about iui but my dr at clinic said its better chance to do ivf and iui is not avaiable on the nhs. Reason i dont want to do ivf os beciz of the drugs but its something ithink i have to do.xxx
Hi ysyrik 1978 I had IUI on the NHS and it worked first time for me but sadly ended up in a ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage! since then I had 2 lots of IVF which hasn't worked on the NHS, I was not allowed to continue iui after ectopic as I lost 1 of my tubes in process. I have also had IVF privately with no joy , Which to be honest still baffles me as statistics say that iui has a lower success rate than IVF. We are starting IVF again in few months but have spoken to my consultant to say that if it doesn't work I will be wanting to do iui again and she is willing to do this. I would definitely try iui , it might be the boost you need to have your precious baby. Good luck. Xx
I always headed odds are better with IVF than iui but I don't have any experience personally to know how true that is.good luck with whatever u decide xxx
I would say at your age go straight to IVF. IUI generally has lower success rates and that's time taken away from you.
