Ivf in wales
Hi, you wouldn't get funding if either of you already has a child! X
In Wales we get two NHS funded rounds subject to certain criteria. One of the criteria is that neither partner has living children.
Good luck!
Awww man haha I was just wondering because I heard someone say you could my partner has a 5 year old would of been a nice dream never mind if it comes to it will have to go private then xxx thanks for replying xx
We're having 2 rounds on the nhs in Wales and my partner has a child from a previous marriage. While the initial paperwork had rules about "living children", a fertility nurse told us that if you say you have really limited child access, no overnight stays etc then they'll let you through. We were really nervous about that part but played it down and the doctor didn't focus on it. I get the feeling she thought it was an unfair rule as well so she didn't dwell on it.
I believe there are rules about how long you have to have lived in a country before applying for ivf though so I'd check thst too if I were you. Hope that helps. Good luck lovely. Xxx
Hiya thanks so much for that info it's is definitely that we don't have any overnight stays and only see him one day every other weekend so yes access is limited it's such an unfair rule but obviously I'm not Welsh I'm English and live in U.K. Is that going to matter I'd have to look further into it xx thanks for that tho xx
Hello please get in touch with Alice our Wales Coordinator - alice@fertilitynetworkuk.org
Depends where in wales (which trust). I have a 13 yr old child who lives with us and only us but my husband has no biological children so we qualify for 2 rounds.
Aw thanks Hun that's interesting xx good luck xxx 😘😘😘❤❤thanks for replying xx
