Hi,

My husband and I are currently on the waiting list in Wales for IVF but waiting list is about 18 months.

We're moving back to Cheltenham next month so was wondering what the waiting list is in Gloucestershire?

Hi there

We went to Cheltenham a couple of years ago when I was told I needed to get my weight down to a BMI of less than 30, May this year went back after losing the weight and it has been all systems go. Just finished my first cycle.

Not sure if because we were originally referred a couple of years ago that we were a priority and there is a waiting list now but as far as we're concerned had no wait whatsoever.

Brilliant thank you. Anything is going to be quicker than Wales. It's 2 year wait in Wales.

Did you have IVF in Bristol?

oh that is a long wait... We have never been told of a waiting list or anything. We go through Cheltenham/Cotswold facility with procedures done at Oxford.

Yes I think we may go to Oxford.

Did you find them good?

I've got doc appt on 21st with our new gp so hopefully they will refer us straight away.

Do you know how long it was from when your gp referred you to appt with consultant?

I'm hoping because we have had all tests in Wales will speed process up.

We are under cheltenham my advice is to pay for an initial appointment at the cheltenham clinic via Gp referral and then you will be in the system. I am currently on my third cycle and have to attend cheltenham and Oxford. As with any place there are some empathetic people and others that just see it as a job. They don't like you to express an opinion. See my recent post re. Support.

What so we go to our gp first in Cheltenham and get a referral then contact the clinic? What is the clinics name?

If you pay for the initial consultation do you still get the IVF on nhs?

Yep GP first get the NHS referral done but as they send the referral in we agreed to pay for the initial consultation to speed things up. The ivf will be on the NHS. I will message you the clinic and consultant name.

Hi kirdrew with hubby we wrote the letter to CCG asking for one more cycle . If they refuse my hubby want us to move permanently to Gloucestershire 😔 can u message me the clinic and consultant name please. Thank u
