TLI or glue

just wanted to get thoughts from you lovely ladies. Starting injections this month and we've been offered option to have time lapse imaging and/or embryo glue (at a cost as not offered on NHS). Just wondered if anyone has had either or both and what influenced your decision to have or not have it? Xx

Hi there

We were looking to purchase the glue but our nurse at our clinic was really honest with us and said that as it was our first cycle and we were reasonably young, she didn't think we needed it. Bearing in mind they would have made money out of us, I really appreciated their honesty. I hope that helps.

Lots of luck 🤞🏼 Xx

Hi, I have just had time lapse imaging through Care Fertility. I actually paid for a multi cycle on the Access Fertility Program and this is included in the price. It can help the Embryologist to monitor the embryo at every stage and see which ones are not performing and see when cells are abnormal. My Doctor said he will tell me nearer the time of transfer if I need to the glue, but at this point he doesn't think we need it. . good luck with whatever you choose x

Hey did you see the recent documentary on all the expensive add ons? None of them are proven so they sell you hope each time, and because we are all so desperate we say yes to all the extra things we don't need. I've had these and I'm still not pregnant so I'm more cynical than most. I guess it depends if you can afford it as these things will help make you feel like you've done everything you can. Good luck with your journey xx

We didn't bother with time lapse but did try glue on 3rd round, it was cheap at £150 in comparison to everything else! I asked the nurse from our first clinic, they didn't offer it but she said it might be worth a try. We still got a BFN but it shouldn't cause any harm.
