What kind of advice are you looking for? Eqq quality? Sperm quality? Ect ect......have you done ivf before? We did ICSI on our 1st cycle xxx
Hi,
Thank you for you reply a lot. According to my hubby's sperm quality, mobility and count we are reffered to ICSI and this is our first time.
Too nervous and excited and looking for help from people who had been experiencing this. So any thing you reckon it may help please let me know esp things i need to do or to avoid .
Thanks
I would advise not to diet this is what nurse told me just eat way you normally do, although after transfer I drank lots of milk (supposed to help) it would be good to take pregnancy multivitamin starting asap, I would take time of work from egg collection date for couple weeks if you can, if you do work, icsi works very well, there are vitamins hubby can take but needs to be in system for 3 months as sperm and egg is a 3 month cycle, so any changes won't show for 3 months, watch plenty of comedies especially after transfer it's proven laughing can help! I felt pregnant twice but sadly lost them, was just unlucky....3rd go in January xxx
Hi again ,
Is it possible to have a normal life i mean having an intercourse or it may hurt ? 😓 im asking this coz my husband works in another country and he will be here before fertilising eggs with 3 days.
Sorry 😔😓
You can't have sex before transfer as it will effect sperm count, think we couldn't do it for 3 days before transfer then after don't have sex either we was told to wait 2 weeks I know Alot of girls who wait longer I personally did wait longer too, has your clinic informed you or this? Oh and you will need to use invented shower gel on day of transfer some clinics say no make up either oh and no perfume. Xxx
Protein is good for eggs and for after transfer...hence drinking milk, I was drinking a pint of full fat milk a day I know plenty of others who do the same you will come across different views and options we have all been told ect....definitely worth chatting with clinic 😊 xx
I meant while having injections and before eggs collection? !
My clinic told me nothing about this.
thanks for that too
They will do, so yeah just eat more protein foods and take pregnancy multivitamin cq10 is good for eggs quality I'd get hubby to take mens health vitamin, royal jelly supplements is good for eggs quality aswell xx
Hi Sassa1234. Oh how exciting – obviously you will be anxious too! I think most of my ladies tend to take it easy for a few days after embryo transfer, and don’t do any lifting or strenuous exercise. Otherwise, live life as normally as you can while you are waiting to test. Meanwhile, a good diet to have at this time consists of variety, however, I have listed some of the “good” things to have: Carbohydrates - Wholegrain bread and wholemeal pasta, oatmeal, brown rice. All fresh vegetables especially raw or steamed. Over boiling rids them of vitamins and minerals, pineapple juice, apricots, potatoes, all fruit and honey, beans, chickpeas and lentils. Protein - Organic meat if possible, poultry, fish, Milk and hard cheese, nuts and seeds. Fat - Extra virgin olive oil and sunflower oil, avocado and peanut butter, mackerel, sardines, nuts (especially Brazil and walnuts), seeds, sweet corn and sweet potatoes. The things to avoid are too much sugar, processed foods, ready meals, butter, ice cream etc. A little is OK, but not all the time. Drink plenty of water and only a little tea and coffee if feeling deprived. Cut right down or right out – alcohol and smoking. Oh and don’t forget the Folic Acid! Hope this helps and all the best with the ICSI cycle when it starts. Diane
Hi! We experienced ICSI cycle with oe. Unfortunately it failed because of my eggs quality. But this is what we were advised while passing it. I was suggested several things not to eat. This is ice cream or cold foods. Also ice water - water must only be room temperature or cool. Dairy and raw vegetables. We were explained that when you have cold foods or drinks blood rushes to your tummy to warm it up for digestion. It takes blood flow away from where you want it in the uterus. And dairy and raw vegetables are harder to digest. I think it does make sense. Anyway, while passing our ivf with donor egg we followed this piece of advice and got positive! Hope this helps. Hugs and good luck x
