Egg collection

Just had my scan I have 2 good sized folicles at 18 a 12 and a 15 the nurse thinks it's great as my amh is low so she said iv responded really well

Egg collection is friday they are hoping that will give the 12 and 15 a chance to grow x

Hi Natalie! Well done! Just like me my egg collection looks like it is going to be Friday to. What's your amh? Mine is low to. I don't mind just a few good eggs and that they fertlise and stick!! I'm off work for 2 weeks after the egg collection. Hope to relax and go out and see family and friends xxx

My amh is 8 how many folicles do you have and how many days stimming will it be for you on Friday mines will only be day 11 x

Mine is 8.4 to! Iv got 5 follicles ranged between 15 and 18 and 3 smaller ones. But I'm not getting my hopes up etc as anything can happenn. Just taking one day at a time. I used a hot water bottle to on the weekend. Even though my nurse said no I read Diane on here say some heat is ok lol. Also its my 12th day of stimming today I'm on long protocal but it took me 4 weeks to down regulate x

Thank you I was thinking about the hot water bottle but the nurse told me not to but it can't do any harm x

Hi, I passed egg collection procedure more than a year ago (before we moved to donor egg in Ukrainian clinic). I remember it this way so far. So can share what to expect.

I had a heart monitor, pulse monitor and oxygen on me. The anesthesiologist started with a small amount of the medicine which made me feel comfortable and a little bit tired. He said that when the doctor was coming he would give me more. I was laying there with a nurse next to me. She asked me how I was feeling. I told her I had bad pain in both of my ovaries. I was feeling nauseous as well so she gave me an injection to make me less nauseous.

We slowly walked back better to the recovery room and my husband was there he had pain medicine for me which was a hydrocodone 5 milligrams. Once I was feeling confident that I could walk, my husband helped me to the car.

The ride home was hard because all the bumps really bothered me. The worst though was when I became nauseous and I threw up on the way home. This probably wouldn't have happened if I took the anti nausea medicine like was prescribed but I didn't have it on me so I took it afterwards.

Not that throwing up or pain are horrible in of themselves, but together it made me want my bed badly. I was very sore. The pain meds didn't sink in, however I was able to fall asleep. When I woke up I was able to eat part of a protein shake and take my pain medicine I was getting better. Right after the procedure the doctors let my husband know that we had 14 eggs.

Thank you for your reply that don't sound a very nice experience well apart from getting 14 eggs I don't think I will even get half of that

My clinic said I will be kept on the ward a few hours after or how ever long it takes me to feel ok and eat and drink something there first x

As the others have said get the hot water bottle out! Im sure that helped me although I was doing the long protocol although I dont have a high AMH 7.19! All the best for egg collection, I dont remember any of it! I was so confident that I was awake and with it then it was over....weird feeling but no pain. I only had a dull ache for the next few days! Good luck!xx
