Facials- yes or no??

Hi.

I'm on my 2WW and trying to plan activities that I can do to keep me busy yet relaxed. I know that massages are a no go but any ideas on a facial? I've heard that some oils have to be avoided if pregnant so I suppose this would apply during this period. Any advice welcome. Xx

Hi, I've been through 3 IVF cycles but I'm also a beauty therapist. Facials are absolutely fine to have but make sure to say to your therapist to treat you like you are pregnant just in case!! There are some essential oils to be avoided, in fact I would avoid essential oils altogether but all other aspects of the facial would be fine. Just go for something simple though and I would avoid machine based facials as well. If you ask at the place you were thinking of going and they can advise you on what's suitable. Facials are definitely very relaxing and I think it's a good idea to have nice things to do over the 2ww.
