So for my last cycle I had accupuncture prior to my fresh cycle and all the way through. Unfortunately I never responded well to the FSH drugs & we never made it to transfer.
About to start over (start Norethisterone 30/06) trying to decide whether to bother with accupuncture. It obviously didn’t help me last time however I did feel more relaxed. On Friday am going for rekhi as had that before my first successful pregnancy so feel I need to try it again.
As this is most likely my last shot then maybe should go for accupuncture too and then I will know did everything I could.
Any successful or unsuccessful stories with accupuncture ?

I’ve heard acupuncture is a great idea for success to IVF, plenty of people have advised me of this and been successful. It’a most definitely worth a shout x
Hey, I’ve that started Reflexoloy and reiki and tbh I love it. Many people have mentioned to me trying out acupuncture but I always hear mixed things about it. Xx
My acupuncturist is a fertility specialist and she has a 50-60% success rate. The acupuncture won’t change how you respond to the drugs but it will improve the quality of any eggs that are produced and will create a welcoming environment in you womb. My periods are so much better since I’ve been doing acupuncture - cleaner, less clotting, less heavy and barely any pms.
In addition to this it is relaxing. I like seeing an impartial fertility “expert” too who doesn’t blind me with science.
Hey I've just recently had 4th round FET and got BFP just last Thur. I've been doing Reiki and Reflexology for the last 3 cycles. I tried acupuncture and it wasn't for me but I think it's not necessarily about the therapy but how it makes you feel. My therapist also does acupressure massage and I had that before this cycle to help blood flow as my lining was a bit thin during the mock cycle. I do think it's helped me but more around mindset and positivity. Good luck! Sending positive vibes your way, this was our last shot too so understand to do absolutely everything you can to help. 😊
I did acupuncture with two of my rounds. I did find it relaxing but sadly it did not improve the outcome for my OE cycles. I didn't have any complimentary medicine treatments on my DE cycle and am now 5 weeks pregnant.
On the other hand, two friends of mine swear that the reflexology treatments they had made all the difference for their successful pregnancies, so maybe that is worth a try xx
I did acupuncture prior to my third (and final) round. Went a few times prior to transfer and immediately after transfer - I don’t know if the acupuncture helped but I’m currently 38 weeks and continued right through. We had a little hiccup early in and I think the acupuncture definitely helped me to relax while we were waiting for our first scan after some bleeding.
I had acupuncture whilst trying to conceive naturally and it didn’t help. We then found out our issue was with DH and I did not have it for my first round of IVF which ended in BFN. My second round got cancelled halfway due to a poor response to the medication and my third round I did have acupuncture and we have 15 month old twin girls. My number of eggs didn’t drastically change between cycles but I got four to blastocyst on the cycle I did acupuncture but only two on the round I didn’t. I also felt it helped relax me after transfer and during the 2WW.
I did a lot of accupuncture when I did not have periods, It did not bring them back so at some point I stopped. But I still think that it is highly valuable, as you said, it helps you relaxing which is important. However, you need to really believe in its value, otherwise it does not make sense, it is just a way to support your body.
I still do believe it helps, I just found that after some while I found more mental support in other things.
