Only have 1 egg follicle thats matured so far . .

Hi, I went for my 4th scan today and there is only 1 egg thats matured measuring 18.5. The others are at 16, 14 and 12. I was wondering why my egg follicles are not growing considering I am on the triple dosage 3 x 150u per day. I have another scan Wednesday and I hope another couple grow to 18 at least . . so disappointing to hear . .feel deflated

Don't be disheartened ditsy999 just remember you only need one good egg xx we got 8 eggs of which 7 fertilised via icsi. We were told today there may not be any to freeze. Bit gutted but hopefully the one that's been transferred is all we need xxx

Don't be disheartened I had to have my dose increased and took 3 weeks longer than it should of for the follicles to mature but I got 10 eggs at the end only 4 fertilised only 1 made it to blastocycist and got put back but I'm now 36 weeks pregnant so you really do only need 1

Try not to feel too deflated, your other follicles may still catch up.

I only had one follicle that responded so the clinic cancelled my cycle of IVF and converted to IUI. I'm now 26 weeks pregnant.

As down and disheartening it can be at times, it really does only take one.

So I have egg collection tomorrow, they saw 5 very good sized follicles yesterday when I had my scan and the nurse said they are hoping that more smaller follicles will get to the size required by Friday. I took the important injection last night at 9, just hoping they get some eggs that fertilise . .fingers crossed x

Hi all, just wanted to give an update, they collected 11 eggs today, got to wait till tomorrow to see how many fertilise .. Wish me luck x
