Hi, I only had sedation on both occasions plus they give you something to make you relax. I found it more or less painless both times, I didn't even have the painkiller suppository they give to you beforehand. Both times I kind of just drifted off, i'm sure you'll be fine :)

Best of luck for Friday x

I had mine last Friday, first time being sedated, I asked the nurse if I would fall asleep and she said its already over! Found the experience quite nice as I was so happy when they took me to recovery that I hadn't remembered anything!

I wish I hadn't worried about egg collection at all!x

I had a crossiant...It was the best crossiant of my life whilst I was still high on medication :)

I had sedation both times and can't remember a thing, woke up pain free in recovery room. Tea and toast was yummy 😀

I was awake the whole time! It got uncomfortable at the end, but I was fine the minute they finished.

It was painful an I was so anxious it was a horrible experience but they got 8 eggs so fingers crossed for the next chapter . They also said that my remaining tube was swollen an they are not sure if it will affect the chances of success if it fails I may have to have it out but I'm hoping that won't happen

Hi Rachaelrix86. Ouch! It's often painful, but it's now done with, so have a good rest and take some paracetamol if necessary. Make sure you drink lots of water too. Hope all goes well with the fertilisation. Diane
