In my experience I don't think they will change the meds, but they could keep you stimming for longer. In both my cycles I had to keep going for a couple more scans until ready and they didn't do the EC until they thought I eas at my peak!
Hey, I had to down regulate a bit longer with a change of meds but on stims they just kept me on the same dose for longer as the follicles were developing, they were just a bit slow! I was really nervous too so it was great to see some on the scan! Good luck!x
Hi Dreams 1982. At my second scan my follicles were not growing as quickly as they wanted. - 'slowly but surely' were their words - so they upped my menopur dosage and my EC was put back a couple of days which did the trick.
Just been for our scan and we have 10 follicles growing away between 9-11mm. They were going to up my meds but decided against this and we go back Wednesday for follow up scan
Hi ivebeen told that upping the meds or dragging out stimming doesn't help & can infact compromise quality. As you get only 1 go on the NHS you need to make sure the consultant is honest with you as if you stop now it doesn't count as your 1 go so you can then start over on a higher dose etc. As soon as they do egg collection that is considered to have completed your free round. Very hard to even consider stopping & 10follicles isn't a bad number but wanted you to have the info so you can make an informed decision x
Great advice from Poochi! I wish I had known about this. Our embryologist pretty much said that dragging out our cycle could have damaged my eggs although I guess it could have been my age too! 10 does sound like a good numebr though!x
