I desperately need advice. I'm 8dp3dt and have wiped pink blood this morning. I had some spotting yesterday
I had called my clinic yesterday for other side effects so was told I was ok and normal. So is this normal or should I be worried

Hi Jamjar,
As you know, I too have experienced bleeding. Having read absolutely loads about it in the last few days (and i mean loads!), what I have learnt is that bleeding is very common and more often than not nothing to worry about. Most women experience bleeding at one or more times during a pregnancy, particularly early on, and this is even more common with IVF pregnancies, sometimes even quite heavy. It can even be a good sign at this early stage as it means your embryos are implanting nicely and have just burst a blood vessel while nestling their way in.
I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry. Thinking of you and wishing you all the best. Xxx
PS. The doctor and clinic also told me that they consider heavy bleeding to be filling a sanitary towel every hour, so no need to worry unless you get to that stage.
This is absolutely normal, hun! Don’t worry! I guess you're experiencing implantation bleeding. It starts approximately in a week before period. Thus, bloody discharge after ovulation is likely to indicate possible conception.
It looks like spotting. You should pay attention to the character of your discharge. If it is slight and do not intensify, it is the sign of successful conception and implantation.
If you notice the typical bloody discharge you may make a pregnancy test. It can be already taken on the 8th–10th day after ovulation. However, do not expect the brilliant accuracy. If your hCG-level is not enough yet, the home pregnancy test will show you the false negative result. Try again later, better in a week. Hugs X
Hi jamjar5060. Unfortunately lots of ladies are prone to a slight bleed/spotting, which is usually hormonal. Remember that overnight any leakage will "puddle", so when you get up it seems far worse than it is, as it leaks out. Just rest when you can and keep in touch with your clinic of course, as they may want you to double up on your progesterone if it has been prescribed. Thinking of you. Diane
