Bleeding 6 +1 weeks

Since yesterday afternoon I began spotting... pinky brown when I wiped. This morning I’ve woken up to more than what I would consider spotting... this is more like bleeding bright red with stringy veiny type clots... What is happening... this can’t be normal

I’m so worried. No major pain but abdomen is a little achy and uncomfortable. I have called my clinic and no answer so waiting for a call back 😩 and my local EPU is closed and only opens mon-Friday.

Hi lovely, I'm so sorry you are going through this, it must be so scary. Obviously I can't tell you one way or the other what is going to happen but I can tell you that there have been loads of ladies on here who have had bleeds, some of them big gushing bleeds with clots etc, and gone on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies. My best friend is currently 12 weeks and she bled from 5 to 9 weeks, had lots of scans but everything is fine and they have a healthy baby growing. So try not to panic. Definitely get yourself checked out at the EPU on Monday (you might need to get your GP to refer you) and in the meantime take it easy, drink plenty of water, have a lazy weekend. Everything crossed for you xxx

Thnx for your advice... yes it’s very scary especially when you don’t know what the problem is.

I definitely won’t be moving an inch until Monday, although we’re having such lovely weather today.

I’m just praying this passes and isn’t serious.

Thnx again xxx

Oh so scary!! I would say if you aren't in too much pain they to get your feet up and take it easy. Could be completely nothing, some ladies just have unexplained bleeding which I hope is the case for you. Hope it settles down soon. If you have extra you could try taking an extra pessary.xx

Awww bless you! I completely understand how it feels. Just heartbreaking. Lots of love.xxx

Hey sweetie hope your ok and bleeding is settling. When you have an area on your scan that shows a bleed they told me it should absorb BUT might get a little bleeding from it too. I had a bleed at six weeks which unlike my miscarriage was pain free. Got scan seen cause of bleed but had another bleed the following week which they said might happen. After that no bleeding. The cause of bleed was in front of baby which was good they said also.

Hopefully by now it has settled and your more relaxed. Wishing you all the best xx

I really hope I have the same... I’m now using a pad. It’s not filling up like I thought it would... it’s more marks, but when I wipe there’s still so much blood and it’s now 24hrs later.

I’ve been so upset, i took to my bed and have basically slept the day away 😭

It’s so difficult. I had a good sonographer who squeezed me in for emergency scan which helped with the stress. Resting is good and no pain is good. I will be thinking about you lovely. Keep resting and let me know how you are. Big hugs xx

Hi... I'm currently 6w+2 after FET#2... I'm also having pinky-brownish spotting on and off since 4w. For me spotting was never a good sign: 3 ectopic and 1MC in the past. Yesterday we had a scan: we saw 2 tiny embryos with heartbeats :)

I had taken some photos of the spotting and showed them to the nurse and she was not worried. She said that it can be from the cervix; it is more sensible and putting pessaries 3 times per day does not help.

But definitely get yourself checked out on Monday and in the meantime take it easy!

Fingers crossed!

This sounds so scary 😔. I’m thinking of you and keeping everything crossed that’s it’s nothing to worry about. Hope you’re managing to have a good rest and do something nice for yourself xxx

I know it’s impossible not to worry, but I think in general that bleeding during pregnancy is pretty common as your uterus goes through rapid changes growing and stretching. Even what seems like a lot. Bear in mind that miscarriage more typically has a lot of pain associated with it. If you’re just a little achy my guess would be from the normal little tear in the uterine lining. Hang in there!

Aw Thanks so much... just as I was beginning to loose hope, I’m still bleeding (48hrs later) it’s nice for you to simplify things as I’ve read so many horror stories...

you just don’t know what to think. 😩😭

I’m really Looking forward to the morning and contacting my clinic & GP
