Could this be a mistake?

So, with the drama of bleeding all day yesterday I did another test this morning. I didn't want any messing about with 'is there a line or isn't there', so I got a digital one. This is what happened. I am in shock. I'm only 9dp4dt. Could it be a mistake?

I just called the clinic and spoke to a nurse as I am still worried about this bleeding. She was very dismissive of a positive test and said it was still too early to tell. Is it, or does she have to say that do you think?

At 9dp4dt, you would be considered 4 weeks pregnant, which is when you can start testing using a hpt and get a result. Did she suggest doing blood test to confirm? Maybe push for that as you will know for sure then. They would have to check that hCG doubles over 48 hours to confirm it's a viable pregnancy. It's too early for a scan, so this may be the best option to put your mind at ease. But maybe you will have to wait until otd before they will do this.

No, she just said to wait until the otd, which is Saturday, but to rest in the meantime and to call back if the bleeding gets heavier. I guess its just back to waiting. It's driving me mad!

They do recommend rest if you bleed in pregnancy, so I hope you're signed off from work. There's not a lot more you can do at this early stage but when you do test next week, make sure they give you an early scan. It can be normal to bleed in early pregnancy, it's not over yet!

Thanks TLove. I am laying in bed as we speak and intend to do much of the same for the rest of the week, just me and my box sets!

Where would we be without the box sets? 😊
