Hi Blondyboo. Not nice when you get such side effects. It maybe that the Kliovance doesn't suit you too well??  It won't cause any harm, but maybe have a chat with your specialist regarding the side effects you are having, and he/she may change it.  HRT treatments are a bit trial and error I'm afraid, to find the one most suited to you.  Hope all soon settles for you and of course all goes well with your donor cycle.  Diane

HI Diane,

I havent started taking it yet im just reading all up on it and it says its mainly for people that have not had a period for up to a year. I am still having periods every month just irregular  and heavy? Im nervous taking it as I cant understand how its good that I wont have a bleed each month? apparently you dont have any bleed and the packs are 28 pills one every day.

I took the mini pill years ago and tried the injection but they made me bleed all the time and im worried the same will happen on this and all i want is to be in control of it!

Hi Blondyboo. Yes, you're quite right!  I was wondering about the continuous use also, as you don't get to have a bleed, so not too sure how they will get you "in sinc" with your donor.  Best to have a chat with your specialist, as the drug contains norethisterone too, which stops a bleed.  If this is the case, then how do you get to build up your womb lining for embryo transfer??  Not too sure - sorry!  Hope their logic is soon explained to you.  Diane

When i say telling me to get it i mean HRT not necessarily this one! the worrying thing is my GP faxed my clinic to ask them what the best type would be for me. When i chased them up they said they hadnt heard from clinic and told me to chase them! I did and they said they cant understand why GP is asking them and said any type will do?! so I called GP back and told them to pass onto doctor and this is what hes given me!  feel a bit lost with all this HRT lark its new to me and i dont feel i have been informed about it at all.!

Hi Blondyboo. I must admit I would be annoyed being pushed from pillar to post like that! Any luck with the egg donation co-ordinator?  That's the person I feel would know what the proper protocol is.  Good luck! Diane
