Glasgow Royal waiting times.

Hi all, just wondering how long the waiting list for IVF is at Glasgow Royal just now? We were put on towards the end of October last year. Can't wait to start, hopefully not too long.

Hey you, i had an appointment in September and it was 12 months at that point so you woukd prob be told another 8 months from now but I think thats always worst case so they manage your expectations. People can drop off the list for one reason or another so you might be sooner. Wishing you a speedy appointment xx

I've just been put on the waiting list and was told 7 to 9 months so won't be too long for you

Thanks for your replies 😬 We have been trying for 3 years so a few more months won't hurt. Just starting to get very impatient and nervous. X

Most women I know who have been through the process have heard sooner than they expected too so fingers crossed.

Yeah it is a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Take this time to try and get yourself mentally and physically in the zone.

I'm so glad I've found this forum LBM1979 and know that I'm not alone. Your right, one minute I'm good the next I'm a complete mess.. I've got a holiday planned for May so I'm gonna focus on that just now then I should b too long after that. Xx

I know what u mean but it will be here before you know it. Take this time to relax before it all starts. I have been put on the waiting list but still have to get tubes checked so waiting to hear when that will be . X

Hey Shazza, I had the lap and dye last year. U will b fine. I was quite nervous because it was the first time I had been sedated but the nurses and docs were so friendly and made me feel at ease. Unfortunately, for me both tubes were completely blocked so IVF was my next option. I hope you get ur app in quickly and get the ball rolling xx

ShazzaK, I had to get that done also and the appointment came through within a week with the appointment 2 weeks later. Hopefully you hear soon xx

Hey shazzak it was ok, I had a blocked tube so they turned up the pressure a few notches to try and clear and that was getting a bit sore but just as I was about to say I think you will need to stop it pushed through and cleared.

Really that quick I was thinking a month or so was at Glasgow Royal on Thursday so I might hear sooner than expected then?? Can I ask what was it like to get the tubes checked?? The doc didn't go in to that much detail

Thanks 3droberts . It's nice to know that other people are in the same boat. The consultant last week was so nice he said we will put you on the waiting list now then in the meantime get tubes checked so far all other tests have been fine with me and other half so sort of thinking I my tubes may be blocked or else it's unexplained infertility xx

Hi we were put on the waiting list from November and they told us it will be around June or July. So hopefully you won't have too much longer to wait now.
