Hello, ladies.

Is there any way to tell/confirm if:

- Fertilization happened?

- Implantation occurred?

- There was a chemical pregnancy?

By any blood/urine/usg test/scan? Is it closer to 100% accuracy? Any successful stories with 2 negative pregnancy test and then BFN??

Thanks x

Hi, dear! Pretty good question.

If you get a positive pregnancy test and then a negative test later that would tell you that fertilization happened and you had a chemical pregnancy. A chemical pregnancy is when you are producing HCG because fertilization occurred but it is too early to see the pregnancy on an ultrasound.

You can usually see a pregnancy on ultrasound at about 4 weeks or so. Then it is considered a clinical pregnancy. If you can visually confirm a pregnancy and then you lose it, this is called a miscarriage instead of a chemical pregnancy.

I had a chemical pregnancy and I knew because I had a positive blood test and then a negative blood test a few days later. We couldn't see anything on ultrasound.

You would not be able to confirm implantation until you can see it on an ultrasound. You may be able to feel cramping that could be implantation but this isn't considered proof of implantation.

As for such successful stories mentioned – have just none..

Hope this helps x
