Dear baby HOPE,

We met each other 11 years ago now – it was literally love at first sight and honestly, when you are older I will tell you the full story!

Daddy had been married before and he had what they call a vasectomy – this meant that when I met him he wasn't able to have children – he had never had any and we believed that we would never have you – we loved each other so much that it did not matter – we were and are enough for each other.

However, one day mummy found out that daddy might be able to have an operation that would help me to have you – it was quite a big operation and we were a bit scared.

Once they found the sperm (hopefully) we would be able to freeze it and mummy could have lots of tablets and injections and lots and lots of tests so that they could mix her egg with daddy’s sperm to make you.

The only problem was that as daddy had had a vasectomy they would have to pay for this and the price for one go (only one go) was £5000 in total – mummy and daddy didn't have that money.

Now, mummy sells holidays to families every day of the week and every day she gets so excited to be sending her customers to Florida to meet Mickey and Minnie and every day she is reminded how she will never be able to take her little one to meet Minnie and mickey and how she will always be the one taking the photos for the family and never the one in the picture.

Daddy says it is fine, we have each other and we have our dogs, cats, horses – enough for a farm! But mummy knows that she wants to be the one in the picture and she wants to hold your hand in front of Walt Disney and watch the fireworks and see Tinkerbell.

Cinderella’s castle and Hogwarts express will not be the same without you with us – I am keeping everything crossed so that the next time we go to Florida we will have you in the photo with us.
