Hey everyone, I was just wandering if anyone that has had an early scan (pref around 7wk5d) could tell me what size their baby was measuring at. Have been googling again π and now over analysing everything. Thanks everyone. Hope everyone is well xx

Size at early scan
Iya hun does it say it on your scan pic? What was your measuring at? And I'll have a little check of mine for you xx
I had mine at 7wk exactly and the little one was measuring 7wk 1 day. By my 12 week scan it had grown ahead even more so my EDD based on that is now 4 days ahead of my IVF due date (don't get me started on the debate I had with the hospital about that one!). I think one of my 7wk scan pics had the exact measurements on. Will see if I can dig it out for you. What are your measurements?
My EDD is 2 days ahead of my IVF due date. Have no idea how that's even possible. I think they just make it up! x
Ha ha I know what you mean, I couldn't work the date out. They measured 13.7 and 14.7, hopefully it's all fine. How far are you now? Hope all is well x
So at 7w1d mine was 9.67mm - how tiny is that! I'm now 16 weeks (17 tomorrow if you go by by EDD). Looking forward to my next scan when I can find out if it's a boy or girl. It will be Xmas week so a lovely Xmas pressy! How you finding it so far? I definitely felt most ill around the 7-10 week mark.
He he, when we had our little girl at my 12wk scan they said I was 13wks 2 days, I said nope 12 wks exactly. I explained the whole 9 yards and that actually I kinda know exactly when she was concieved and the sonographer said "no you're wrong all babies measure exactly the same at this point. I stopped arguing in the end πππ x
With mine they understood there was a difference between dating scan date and IVF date but were arguing that IVF date was from ET, not EC. Even when I said IVF hospital had said it was from EC they were still saying it was from ET. I asked them if it was ET how did they account for difference in age of embryo depending on whether it was 2, 3 or 5 day transfer and they had no idea what I was talking about. In the end we agreed that because there was only 4 days between the 2 it didn't really matter and we went with the dating scan EDD. I guess it only really matters when they get to the point of induction so for that I'll just ask them to hold off until IVF due date (my hospital induce IVF babies at 40 weeks so asking for a few extra days shouldn't cause them any concern)
It is concerning isn't it. One of the GPs basically admitted to messe had no clue or interest in IVF and no intention to educate herself π³ x
It is crazy isn't it. When I first met my midwife she was REALLY concerned that I was taking progesterone up to 12 weeks and kept asking "but why???" I explained as scientifically as I could, and then gave up after about the third time and said because they told me to. It was a bit like I was a medical mystery to her, I said to my husband, sure this is not the first IVF pregnancy she has ever come across. Right before we had her she was saying, "Oh I bet we'll see you back here in no time" at which point I knew for sure she didn't get this!!!! x
Hey Hun!
On my 7 week scan I was dated at 6+6 and measures about 9mm something!
What is it that ur worried about have you ur scan what were the results? xx
Yes I had my scan at 7wk 5days.
One measured 14.7 and one 13.7? It's just our consultant isn't very forthcoming!!! And I just keep going through it in my head and of course Google my worst enemy!!! Thanks though girls, and congrats xx
I had my scan at 7 weeks and 5 days. Can't remember where I out my pic! But from memory I think it was 12.5mm (might have been 13.5). I came home and googled and started to panic too! You wonder why we do it to ourselves! If they were worried about the size they would say and would probably invite you back before the 12 week scan. They were slightly concerned about baby's size when I was scanned at 19 weeks and they had me back at 22 weeks just to check (it was all fine).
Good luck x
Thanks Hun, I know. And I know I would tell other people to chill out but I cant π. Glad all was well with your scans. When are you due? Do you know what you are having? X
It's difficult. You feel like after all you've been through you should just be happy to be pregnant (and you are) but being pregnant brings a whole load of new worries!
I'm 22 weeks so due at the end of March. It's started to feel very real these last few weeks! We're keeping the sex of the baby a surprise! It's probably a good thing otherwise I think I would go crazy buying heaps of baby clothes!
Take care. It sounds like your babies are s good size so try not to worry x
After all you've been through, it's understandable to worry, but what I would say, is if you are causing yourself stress thinking about it then call the clinic and just ask them for a direct answer x
Scans aren't exact as being measured from a distance. A few days out is completely normal. X
Hi not sure of measurements but I know ours was measuring few days behind at 7 weeks but then bang on at 12 weeks! Think babies are so tiny at 7 weeks it's difficult to be accurate. Wishing you a happy and stress free pregnancy x
