Hi everyone I am currently 7 weeks after 2 failed ivf rounds and I have my first scan on Saturday praying everything will be fine but I'm guessing it will be a internal scan I have herd a few woman saying it can cause a miscarriage it has me worried now has anybody had a internal scan and was everything okay after you had it done ?

I’ve not heard of it causing a loss, it’s not poking about in your womb. Ive had them with boy of my boys. All the best lovely, and congratulations!!

hi firstimettc congratulations and all the best for your scan. It doesn't cause losses, it's the default option at such an early stage as the other scan wouldn't be able to pick up anything as accurately yet as it's all very small xx

Thanks girls I no its the best option for a early scan to see everything I was just nervous but I could no see them giving you that scan if it causes losses

That’s my rational thought as well as it would defeat the ivf treatment purpose xx

it doesn’t cause losses 🤗 you might want to move over to the pregnant after fertility forum as there will be lots of helpful ladies and posts on there for you now that you are pregnant. Good luck for tomorrow xx 😘

I've not heard of it causing a loss. It can occasionally cause a bit of spotting afterwards but that's from cervix irritation not from your uturus. All perfectly safe though, congratulations! Xx
