Early pregnancy Scan booked at clinic! Too early???

HI all,

Phones clinic to tell them about our BFP news and they have booked us in for a scan in a couple of weeks. She said I will be 6 weeks + 3 days on the 24th which puts me at 4 weeks pregnant tomorrow. (Clearblue saying 1-2 which i know you add 2 weeks on so all adds up).

Will this be to early to know everything is okay like heart beat etc and if it is a single or multiple pregnancy? Just seemed early to me and didn't ant to get my hopes up that I would find a lot out?

Any experiences or advice?

xx

My clinic waits till 8 weeks which I hope means they’ll see something without going internal, but I might just be being hopeful there!

Mines will be internal they said at last visit they do internal scan until 10 weeks then tummy scans , when is your scan booked for ? X

Some time around 8 weeks but not booked yet as they haven’t got the diary open yet. Have to ring Monday. I guess I was just being hopeful about avoiding another internal!

I had mine at 6wk 3days and saw heartbeat, sac etc. It seems like such a long wait, but after the first week it does go quicker xx

I have a scan booked for Tuesday which I will be 6+4 weeks pregnant. Will let you know the outcome. I think I will get to see the sac and possibly hear my babies heartbeat from what I can gather. Xx

Hi Jade the best indicator for you will be next week when you can do another digital and see it get to 2-3 and then the following week 3weeks+. The HTP levels getting stronger is actually a really good sign. 6+3 seems early but I think maybe the 7 to 8 weeks they normally leave is to avoid some women having to come for a 2nd scan.

Best of luck xx
