I had bright red blood(tmi)on Saturday at 6.0weeks and starting crying and feeling depressed that i was having a miscarriage.so i called my clinic who ask me to come today which makes me 6 weeks and 3 days and there was a heartbeat at 109 beat per minutes, the doctor said im 2 days behind and that i shouldn t be worry but i am. The blood is coming from the wall of my uterus no she said as long as it s not near the placenta i am fine.
Is my baby's heartbeat okay for his/her stage?is it a concern being 2 days behind?
Please i need some honest reassurances.it is my 1st Fet,i had a freeze all in February due to overstimulation
Hi, I had two big bleeds at 6 weeks and 6+4 and then brown blood until 10 weeks. All was fine and they could see the bleed on ultrasound but no idea why.
Being 2 days behind is fine as measurements are always different really early. I got told all different dates at my scans (I had 4 before 12 weeks) and they actually go by your 12 week scan so may even be different then although my sonographer kept my IVF dates.
Are they doing another scan for you? X

I would try local window to the womb scan, they are alot more cheaper. I think they do it from 7 weeks.
It is very common for things to show a few days out, an ultrasound is not 100% accurate, and that happens throughout your pregnancy. Trust your doctor and if they say you don’t need to worry then you don’t. Bleeding is also common in any early pregnancy. I had red bleed at around the same time in my fet, think it was 5.6 weeks and my son is 3.5 years old now. It’s so easy to say but just try to take each day as it comes and not second guess everything. Keep the faith!
Also, a heartbeat is pretty good at 6 weeks, they say don’t expect to see one until 8 weeks. If you go to your gp to get your pregnancy booked in you might get a scan a bit earlier, I know my nhs trust book you in and do your scan at 10 weeks.
Oh yes, I’m with you on that. I’d defo get a private one around 8 weeks too, just meant you could get the next one lined up and it might be sooner than 12 weeks. You can also push to get seen more regularly throughout your pregnancy. I was seen and scanned every two weeks the first time, and every 4 weeks the second time. X
Standard is 12 weeks, 20 weeks and then around 34 weeks and they decide what you need after that. Most pregnancies are midwife led, I was consultant led, which you might be as you’ve gone through ivf but not sure if it depends on other circumstances too. When I saw the consultant first I was 10 weeks (that’s standard where I am so think it’s depends on your nhs trust) and they more or less asked what I was comfortable with. I had quite a long history of miscarriages though. I think you can ask to be consultant led and then maybe just push when you see the doctor. You will feel more at ease as time goes on though, especially once you get to the stage you can feel your baby move. It’s just torture waiting for the days to pass at this early stage. I used BabyBond for some private scans in between and I think the most basic one was £39 so that’s always an option. Xx
I feel for you and know exactly how you are feeling. I had a bleed at 6 weeks and 4 days. They did a scan and everything was fine and we got to hear the heart beat. I measured at 6 weeks instead but they said it was nothing to worry about. I’m now 27 weeks pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy. This was from a frozen 5 day embryo.
I know it’s easier said than done but try to relax.
Wishing you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy and for your next scan xx
Im glad to hear something similar to mine and congratulation on your pregnancy.mine was a day 5 frozen embryo too.a 4aa embryo.i don t know why my embryologist decided to use a 4aa given i had 11 blasts which include 3 5aa
I just saw your post and wanted to reply, as I’m going through something not dissimilar. I went for a scan yesterday at 6 weeks 3 days and they saw a heartbeat, but said the fetus only measured 4.4mm and wasn’t big enough to actually measure the heartbeat - which obviously got me worried! The fact that they could measure yours is positive, I reckon. What size was it? We’re both still very early. I’ve had bleeding too and it’s the scariest thing! Mine was because I had a disappearing twin. I’m interested in the comment by @Jen37 here, actually, who measured behind even though she had a FET. I was under the impression that if you did IVF then you know your dates and measuring behind is a bit worrying. But obviously not in this case, as she’s 27 weeks! That should give us both hope.
Mine is closer to yours,it measured 4.6mm and the dr told everything is perfect.she explained that the fact that is 2 days behind might because it implanted late
Being 2 days is fine.I had brown blood and red spotting.Pray but for the most being in the field stress won’t help but everyone’s pregnancy is different. So far what you explain it’s okay mama.Relax pelvic rest as well.
Hahaha.everything turn out ok.i had a scan at 7 weeks and was measuring 3 days behind but at my 8 week scan was only measuring a day behind.i have a scan next week at 9 weeks to see where about im
