Never really posted on here but hey, I am also waiting for IVF its gone to the funding team to see if I'm eligible, I'm only 22 but this is the only way I may be able to have babies, had problems since I was 17 with my ovaries, of course then I didn't think about kids. Now playing the waiting game. It's so hard 😢.

Hi XxleannexX. Yes, it can be tough at any age if you have been waiting a long time to start a family. All I can really say, is that you are in the system now, and let’s hope that you don’t have too long to wait to see if funding has been allowed. Perhaps once you know what is happening, you could book a counselling session at the clinic, so you can talk over all your worries and anxieties. you will find that others will support you along the way on here too. Good luck! Diane

Hello XxleannexX,

I just wanted to add that I went for counselling last year and found it really helpful so I would definitely recommend it. It is a tough journey and counselling can really help you process your feelings. It can also be very isolating as few people truly understand how difficult it is. The support on this site is amazing though and has definitely helped me through.

Hope your funding is approved without any problems!

Take care x

Thank you I am going to try it :), already overcome depression etc because of the problems iv had, I know I'm only young but being told you'll probably never get pregnant naturally sucks! So IVF is the only option iv got! Hopefully funding is approved for me., this site had really helped me too, seeing there are lots of people trying and going through it makes it easier to feel less alone. Thank you for all your help 😊 xx

On the one hand it's great that you're young and have time on your side but on the otherhand infertility it's a lot to cope with whatever your age! Best of luck with the counselling x

I am only 23, and have been trying for almost 2 years. People think because you're young you have all the time in the world, but I've always known there was something wrong and not right to not be conceiving naturally!

I think you have to trust your intuition and its the best thing I've ever done getting help! xxx
