Me and partner have been trying for a baby for about 3 years overall, and to cut a long story very short I am now waiting for my period then will be starting our first IVF cycle. It has taken some time and many investigations at the gynae clinic to get to this stage.
We had an ectopic two years ago meaning one of my tubes was removed and apparently the other one is now blocked. This year I had four months of decapeptyl aimed at shrinking my fibroids, last injection was two months ago. Once I have my period I have to call the clinic and then it will be 10-12 days of some different crazy meds until egg collection (I think they said). I'm trying to chill and let what happens happen, but keep thinking every little twinge is my period coming!
I wish everyone the best of luck and good health with their journeys xx

Wishing you lots of luck, I empathise with your journey and fibroids, they are the worst. Hope everything goes well for you, lots of support on here so reach out when you need xx
Thank you all for your lovely replies!! I am still waiting, and feeling optimistic but impatient.
I didn't mention that as part of this whole process I found out I have Hashimoto's Disease (aka autoimmune type underactive thyroid / hypothyroidism). It is not too a terrible disease in itself but can cause many fertility issues. I rang the fertility clinic this morning and my consultant rang me back (she is lovely, I am very lucky!) saying my thyroid antibodies are still way high so I have to increase my meds *again* but the IVF will hopefully still proceed. I have to call for my follicle count scan on Day 1 of period.
Everything seems to be taking so long! [Insert crying with laughter emoji here]
