Did my test today it was negative I'm so upset as because I haven't had my period yet I was pregnant anyone got any words of wisdom? xx

Really sorry to hear you got a negative result. I haven't got any words of wisdom, just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you.

It took about 4 days for my period to arrive.

Thank you pm27, this because it's our first attempt I don't know how to handle it. I was so convinced I was pregnant but we always knew iui has a low success rate just got to decide on what to do now.

Of course you hoped you were pregnant. We've had 2 rounds of ICSI and unfortunately it wasn't worked. There are no rules on how to cope with the disappointment, 2nd time wasn't quite so bad as we knew the embryos weren't great quality.

Give yourself a bit of time to recover emotionally. I assume you'll have a follow up consultation? Have they said about trying IVF?

I think because it's the first attempt it's the hardest one to get over but I'm sure in time it will. I've rang Care to see what happens next do we have another iui even though low success rate or go straight for icsi....

Hi Poppit-83. It’s never easy getting that first negative result, but just look after you for the moment before you feel OK to proceed again. Remember, that your clinic will have learnt a lot about how you reacted during this first cycle of treatment, so will be better prepared to advise you about whether to try again or proceed to IVF/ICSI. I wish you well with whatever is decided, and of course, for a better outcome. I do have a list of questions you might like to go through before you go back to the clinic. Hi Poppit-83, so sorry for your BFN, my OTD was Sunday but AF arrived Friday. I was an emotional wreck on Friday but after long discussions over the weekend, we've decided to get straight on with our 2nd IUI treatment as we won't be able to have treatment throughout August to October. We have 2 more chances at IUI before moving on to IVF. Look after yourself and wish you well with your decision xx
