Hi,

My journey hasn't been too bad so far. I went to see the Dr with the hubby to discuss, blood tests for me and sperm test for him, within about 4 weeks we were referred to specialist. Our first appointment was 23rd April, we have then has further tests and consultations. I am now waiting on appointment to get my scans done and then start the IVF so it's only been around 3 months from starting to now!

I suppose all Drs/Specialists are different with time scales though!

hello, thanks for replying nice to chat to someone who understands my struggle to be honest ive been trying for 10years and its only been recently i found out i had complications- had the all clear for ivf to happen just have to have a bmi of 30 so dieting it is. To be fair the gp at my new surgery have been brilliant just luck of the draw in that sense. i was wondering how long from the gp application is sent to going to the clinic.

good luck for the future by the way....

Yeah the quicker you can sort those little things out the quicker the whole process will happen! After our first appointment at the IVF clinic he suggested for us to go on multi vitamins for pre-conception and maintain healthy weight!

Hopefully all will work out for you too 😊 x

Hi Jojo1103

I too haven't too too much of a struggle (thank god this is hard enough)

We had all of our investigation test done at the hospital so when we got our referral we were good to go!

We got an invite to a seminar and our first consultation within a week of each other and told to notify when I had my next period at that appointment which was yesterday...😬 so basically from referral (the day I told the hospital which clinic I wanted to use) to actually starting injections is 10 weeks! Which I'm really happy with!

Good luck with ur treatment!! 😊 xxx
