Injections vs pessaries

I am about to start my fet at the end of May but I was wondering if the injections are better as the pessaries did not seem to work very well any info would be fab

My doctor told me that pessaries are good enough and injections are usually only prescribed by private clinics but are just overkill. Just his opinion, but interesting.

Hi I am at a private clinc as could not get Ivf on the nhs

I would question them about why they would go for injections over pessaries, as research doesn't seem to show any real difference.

Hi it's me who want the injections as I did not like the pessaries

I've had injections for both lots of ICSI, pessaries weren't offered. The injections hurt more than the ones in your tummy and the injection sites hurt for quite some time after ceasing. I got hubby to do them as they're intramuscular (top outside quarter of bum).

Unfortunately not but if you don't like pessaries the injections might be worth trying. They are over quick just wanted you to be prepared for the discomfort in the injection sites.

Hi

Last round of IVF I got a positive with pessaries however I did not get any symptoms such as sore boobs and unfortunately miscarried at about 6 weeks. I'm booked for fet on 3rd June this time it's injections. Pessaries are supposed to be as good just not sure they were for me last time and I ended up on 400mg three times a day it was very messy and quite unpleasant.

Last time was first go at donor egg IVF with a clinic in Spain, never had any fertility treatment before. We were lucky enough to get one embryo to freeze which I'm having put back fingers crossed.

I had a day 5 put back in top embryo and That did not work and have 4 blastocyst left at top ones so I do hope this fet work I am haveing a endometrial scratch next week ready for it
