hey guys was wondering if you can give me advice ? me and my partner have been accepted for ivf but dont know what to expect , any help would be appreciated x thank you x

Hi me and my partner just had our first round of ivf in match we had it on the nhs and were reffered February 2014 its alot of waiting, confirmation and ups and downs but just stay as positive as possible its quite a roller coaster but so worth it! We are 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow 😊 good luck and baby dust xxx

You should get a letter back from the clinic you have picked confirming your first consultant appointment and they will potentially request some tests are carried out before hand. I had to have an AMH blood test and baseline scan and hubby had to provide a sample.

Once you go for your appointment they will go through your history and tests results and advise which protocol they think will suit your situation best and when you will be better to start.

As long as all your other tests are in date, they will arrange for a further appointment to go through a biology lesson and treatment procedures.

All you need then is your period to start and then you'll know exactly when your treatment will start

Defo be prepared for waiting, I never waited for so many things in my life - everything seems to take time & I learnt I had no patience. My timelines were 1st Jan period, 23rd Jan nasal spray, 12th feb injections, 26th Feb egg collection, 3rd March egg transfer-but everyone different. Life does get affected with keeping to times for drugs in morning & evening - just try work round it & keep seeing friends etc. I really struggled at times & unless friend/family been through it they can't offer much support-keep on this support site so u can rant, cry or share great news. Good luck x (1st IVF, 8 weeks preg)
