A friend of mine was told point of milk for extra protein, otherwise I just ate normally plus took pregnacare
I was told to drink plenty of water and a litre of semi skimmed milk as well as a healthy balanced diet, avoid alcohol, reduce caffeine, avoid pate etc the usual stuff for pregnancy. I struggled with the milk part, so had banana smoothie for breakfast with 1/2 litre of milk and a frozen banana, milky coffees during the day (decaf) and a hot chocolate before bed.
Apparently fresh pineapple and raspberries are really good for increasing the blood flow to the uterus. But I really don't know if there's any medical reasoning behind this! But it tastes nice so you may as well. It is important to keep a good circulation going especially after transfer. But obviously don't over do it.
I think it's just the obvious things. Eat healthily, fresh fruit and veg. Not too much crappy food. Lots of water. No booze and limited caffeine. All the things we should do whether we're having fertility treatment or not really!!
Good luck on your journey. Xx
Oh and don't forget your daily folic acid pill. X
In the Fertility Road Mind Body forum here on health unlocked there is a nutritionist to answer any questions about food. x
I just kept it as pure and natural as possible. No low fat dairy (as it contains a lot of sugar, gels, etc) and only organic milk, yoghurt and cheese, and lots of free range chicken and veg x
Don't forget Brazil nuts for selenium. Good luck!! x
