6 weeks and blood!

Hi all. Again I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice for me as it really helps to hear from others who know what I'm going through. Im 6 weeks 2days pregnant and iv had some blood this morning. Apologies for being too graphic but basically I always have some lovely creamy leaky discharge from the pessaries but the last couple of days it didn't seem quite as white as usual-a bit discoloured butI wasn't sure if I was imagining it. Then this morn it was slightly more discoulored-it had a pinky browny tinge. I then had a v light smear of Brown. It's gone back to the creamy with a tinge now. Sorry for tmi! I have crampy pains too but if had them on and off since the 2ww. Iv been a crying banshee all mornin and am terrified. Rang the clinic but as usual I had to leave a message and they stil haven't got back to me-wish they would hurry up! I haven't gone into work as I'm a mess. Help! Xxx

Hope your clinic phone you very soon.. How worrying for you..I can give you my story and I hope that it makes you feel a bit better.. I bleed really heavy like a period when I was 7 weeks pregnant with my son..I was told by midwife it was a threatened miscarriage and there was nothing I could do to stop it..went to the scan and expected not to see a heartbeat delighted when I did..! He's just turned 16 and is fine.. My sister also bleed heavily like I did and her daughter is nearly one and fine..

Good luck can Pm me if you want too.. X

We sure the clinical reassure you I'm thinking it's implantation discharge which can be a little off-colour as I've read about this. I was actually wondering if I will get any signs of a period I'm exactly the same as you six weeks and a few days. I've been having the same creamy discharge that is pretty normal I guess, although I don't do my pessaries in my vagina but was getting a creamy substance anyway. I hope they call you back soon, keep us updated please take care xx

Thanks belle-7!clinic have said they aren't too concerned (wish I felt that way) apparently it can b normal as long as it doesn't get heavier/change colour-aghhhh-I hope it doesn't. I have period like pains too tho which are adding to the worry! The clinic said they could b due to the pessaries. If had pains throughout so I'm hoping nothing has chsnged!I just have a bad feeling! U mentioned implantation bleeding but would that not have happened earlier than now? How come u dont have the lovely pessaries? Do u have something else instead? That's good that u have no signs of ur period-keep praying u don't! Have u had any pregnancy symptoms yet?xxx

Hi Belle79 I am sorry to hear that you are having a stressful time, I had same discharge before my test day which luckly last one day but it managed to stress me a lot so I can image how you might be feeling, but your clinic is right that if there is no heavy bleeding and does not persist for long it may be some old blood. I am currently 5 weeks and 2 days I just got my positive couple of days after you and still I don't have a single symptom which also freak me out even I had to buy again pregnancy test to be sure that I am still pregnant. I was wondering have got any symptoms so far and when was your scan, because mine is on 10th and seems that the days are passing very slow which is rally annoying. I hope your spotting disappeared and everything goes well for you, try not to stress and keep positive with plenty of rest xxx

Ahh-thank u for ur reassuring words Babylonia. Am so thrilled at ur positive test result too. It takes a while to sink in doesn't it? I don't have any symptoms really either and I'm feeling exactly the same as u! I keep fretting that I should have some thing and. Keep wondering if I'm actually pregnant too! It's so silly! Apparently after 6 weeks onwards symptoms tend to start. My boobs are a bit sore and I'm tired but I'm not sure that isn't psychological! We r stil early on tho so maybe that's why there aren't symptoms yet! Some women don't have any at all. My sister in law didn't feel any different. My scan is the 11th-the day after u! It was booked later but I complained and they brought it forward thank goodness cos like u said it seems ages away still! Now with the added blood -I'm even more anxious!urgh! It's tough going isn't it?! I hope u stay healthy and all goes well til ur scan. Lets hope time speeds up! Am praying my body and embryo behave til then. Wishing u well. Keep in touch xxx

Hi Bella, I wouldn't worry about it. Spotting with some blight blood or brown discharge is normal throughout the pregnancy. I am currently week 5+2. When I was week 3+4 I started bleeding heavily with deep red blood. I bled heavily for 4 days and had severe cramps to th point I was walking with crutches. Then I had 2 days of spotting after that. On my test day I t stead positive to everyone's surprise and we where in chock. Than 4 days later on week 4+6 I had to heavy bleeding incidents (red blood not spotting but stoped right after the bleed) went back to the clinic that was worried I was having a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. we did a blood test witch showed that my hormones was increasing as they should and they were now instead worried that I was having an ectopic pregnancy. WAs called back yesterday for a scan, on week 5+1 which they said was way to early to see anything , but since I also had an operation 3 weeks ago they wanted to double check. and to the doctors surprise he saw the sack which he said was a really good sign of a strong pregnancy despite the heavy bleeding I have had! I still have some spotting some and the last 2 days some brown discharge, but they said that was normal. So you shouldn't worry about it. But if it changes you should call them! I still have some period pain like symptoms but they said that was normal as well. I was in sheer panic before the scan but now I am way more relaxed and can finally breath so I know how you are feeling!

I saw your post and I am so sorry!! But stay positive!! Even thou I know it's hard! When I started bleeding I was basically crying all the time, but our small babies are more resilient than we think!! And I have heard of women that hav had bleeding with clumps that has still gon forward with having the pregnancy and the baby has been fine!! The doctor told me that some women just have heavy bleeding throughout the pregnancy and everything is still normal. I am hoping you will have a positive scan today and that the baby is more than perfect!!! Crossing my fingers!!! Take care of yourself!!!
