Dont know what to expect

I had my first failed IVF in September and I have my review appointment in 2 weeks. I am desperate to get started again but I am unsure what this appointment will entail. Can anybody offer some advice please?

Hello lovely. This appointment is to discuss what could have gone wrong. What they can try to do to help increase chances of it working. Work out when you go again. which could end up being new year as Some clinics close in December for a very through clean. So would not be possible to get a cycle in before then. And for you to ask any questions you may have. Hope this is of some help. ️Xx

All I would add to what Piglet has said is to make sure they are being honest with you and to explain all your options. It might be better for your body and mind if it was emotional for you to wait until the New Year give you a chance to rest and enjoy Christmas (this really helped me). Good luck. Tasha

Your doctor will talk to you about what to do for the best and discuss how you feel, like if you would like some counselling. They will also reassure you that it is not your fault your Ivf failed, and will discuss your options for example put you on higher medication so that you can have a couple of embryos replaced. My doctor also as ive said before told us about the DHEA tablets you can get on line to take 3 months before your egg collection to mature them, so that there stronger to give you a better chance of more stronger embryos. Hello Jill. Possibly not as sometimes it just does not work and no one knows why. But Depends on circumstances. So on One of my cycles they said it was because I had over stimulation and so my body was not happy. Good luck. x

My first round of ICSI failed unfortunately and I am just starting my second one... I'm nervous but excited. When I went for my follow up appointment they couldnt give me a reason as to why it didnt work, they said it was a perfect treatment plan etc which was a bit confusing but I guess it was just mother nature.. I just pray it works this 2nd time! Good luck hun xxx
