with the nurse about the operation, so far so good, just got to look forward to a letter through the door now with a date for Laparoscopy.

Hooray! Every step is progress.

My advice: be sure to eat a good diet for the days before to get your bowels in a healthy state. The biggest issue I had after both my ops was major constipation - and I mean major. The only thing that eventually helped was an enema I had prescribed by my GP. Laxatives and stool softener didn't touch it.

Also, have a cushion ready in the car to put between your tummy and the seatbelt on your way home post op.
