this was a while ago. Not sure what the procedure is but thought I would have had heard something, even just a letter that they had received my gp's referral. Would be really grateful for any info on how it usually goes. Im new to all this and im so glad to see I am not alone.

Hi there, usually this is rather quick, we literally went to see the fertility unit within a week or so of referral, I would call your local fertility unit and see what they advise as different areas of the country vary, our fertility unit is

Much more helpful than our gp.

Thank you so much for your reply. I am going to phone them tomorrow. That's good to hear because to be honest I haven't really found the doctors I have spoken with to be very helpful or informative so im basically trying to find stuff out on my own. Thanks again for getting back to me.x

My referral was fairly rapid as well give them a call all the best

Mine was slow and I had heard nothing, so I called and I was told it was going to be a long wait for a first appointment, so I went back to my GP, who was able to move things along...

It took a month for my first appointment to come through - which was then four months later. Guess it depends on how busy there are. Good luck.

I live in greater london and i had to wait about 2/3 months to get the very first appointnent but once I did, it flew rapidly!
