Rash on right leg

**UPDATE IT'S SHINGLES. APPARENTLY SAFE FOR BABY. AND BEING TREATED WITH ACYCLOVIR**

Hello. I'm 31 weeks pregnant and have suddenly developed a rash randomly over my right leg. I'm currently being bounced between midwife and GP, but it is getting quite uncomfortable. I think it looks like PUPP but unsure - was wondering if anyone had any experience of anything similar? I have included a photo of my lower calf, but it's also on my upper inner thigh where it is rubbing against my clothes and really hurting!

Any suggestions or advice welcome, or people with similar rash experiences whilst I wait for the health service to decide who should see me!

Oh dear, good thing they worked it out. It’s not something I even registered you could get during pregnancy, but good to know it’s not particularly a problem either. Hope it’s not too uncomfortable and that it will go away soon!

Hi. You and baby should be fine. See midwife/GP in case you need antiviral medication. Be careful with pain relief. No anti inflammatories such as. Ubyprofen. Codeine phosphate can cause constipation. Hope it soon settles. Diane

GP diagnosed it and gave me aciclovir 😊 but it's very ouch!

Hi. Sorry to hear that. That should do the trick, but you may have a tender leg after the rash clears up. If you use calamine lotion keep it in the fridge. Sending a magic kiss. Diane x
