*sensitive* bleeding early scan

Any one with any words of wisdom or positive stories from this situation? I've just had a massive bleed (soaked through my clothes twice and the car seat!). Is it possibly still ok? I had a SCH last time, but it was much much less blood 😖 Any idea what they may or may not see when they scan me? I'm trying to be prepared for not seeing much. Will they be able to tell if it has survived or not? Sorry my head is in a mess! I'm only 5 weeks + 5 days. xx

Hi Chel, congrats on your pregnancy! Hopefully all is ok. Sorry I can't offer any advice or reassurance. Was this a natural or IVF pregnancy? We're also about to embark on a sibling journey. Wishing you all the best and stay in touch. 💕

Thank you!🩷 It was a FET from my previously banked embryos. The first FET this time around. It's all been a bit of a shock to the system! xx

Hi Chel, I hope it worked out ok for you. I am 7w+2 and ended up in hospital most of yesterday with a threatened miscarriage. Was bleeding, including one heavy gush. We were sure the embryo was lost but then the doctor in the Early Pregnancy Unit was able to show us on the scan that it is still holding on in there and has a heartbeat. Apparently this can happen and you can still go on to have a normal pregnancy so it's not all despair but you need to scan and see.

Sending you best wishes, my head and heart feel such a mess too and are with you! X

Thank you so much! Yes they scanned and the baby has a heartbeat, so I was very relieved to see that too. I'm still worried it can happen again since my SCH is very large, but I'm just trying to rest. Did they put you on bed rest? xx

Yes, I have also been told to rest! Fingers crossed, trying not to worry too much but it's hard, isn't it.

It's so hard! Keeping everything crossed. Will you have another scan soon? xx

Hey, I had heavy red bleeding at 7 weeks but baby was seemingly fine and I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant. It was a blood sac that had ruptured and apparently pretty common after a FET. Of course any bleeding like that is considered a threatened miscarriage, so my consultant did tell me to rest for a few days and upped my progesterone (as it can stop the uterus from contracting). I was also on progesterone for longer (planned to come off at 12 weeks but he kept me on them for an additional several weeks after that).

Wishing you luck x

Hello, hope you're doing ok. I had my follow-up scan in Tuesday and heartbeat was still strong and growth on track. They found SCH on the scan, so have measured it and hopefully it will go down by the next scan. I've not had fresh bleeding since, just a bit of old dark blood which is apparently normal.

Glad everything was good at the scan. I'm sure that was a relief! Everything has been good here too, I also had just some dark brown blood since too. I've another scan in 2 weeks, a little nervous, but hopefully everything is good and the sch is shrinking xx
